Joy I love your videos, your laugh, you sense of humor, and loved the fabric find. Perhaps that was a God wink. I am so happy that Jerry has recovered. You two are so supportive of each other and it is refreshing to see. Please have a safe trip to your new home. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Hope you and Jerry are all good! My thoughts and prayers are with you as you get stuff figured out between the two houses! I Been missing you! Hugs! Peggy!
Hope all is well with both you and Jerry. I’m enjoying watching your past videos, but I sure miss hearing about your latest sewing, quilting, jewelry making, moving and whatever else you find yourself doing.
Hey Joy!! Just wanted you to know I am looking forward for you to post a new video. Been missing you. I so love hearing your stories and sewing tips and tricks. Many prayers and lots of love to you Jerry.🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
So happy you are keeping your house. It will be wonderful to leave for your girls. That was quite a fabric find, they were so pretty. If you are leaving to go back to the new house, when will you be back here except I real,y want to see your new house, too.
Joy you are so right about increasing your lighting. A month ago I had electricians here to install 3 fixtures with one going into my spare room (sewing room). What a huge difference it makes. I don’t know how you do it, 2 houses, filming, sewing. Good for you.
Joy I live in Mounds too! Just on the east side further down! There is a cute quilt store not far from you in SAPULPA. Of course there are quilt shops all over here. And hobby lobbies. We have one Joanne in Tulsa and of course they don’t have much apparel fabric and they are disorganized! So glad you are up this way!
I watch your videos and hv bn lifting you and jerry in prayer. I live in cushing, and have Christian friends in Mounds and Kiefer. The Fireside church in Kiefer is great . Im in Texas for the winter but would love to meet you in Mounds when i get back. You are inspiring. Glad you and Jerry are doing better. better
We will have to drive and find that church. Would love to meet you. We live near Hwy 75. Just one mile East near Elwood. I love the name of the church. I have seen signs to Kiefer, but have not been there.
Joy, when I have to spot my carpet I use a product called Resolve. It's a spray carpet cleaner. Spray the spot, rub it in good with your fingers, and cover the spot with a paper towel over night. The empty place between your desk and three way mirror was a cutting table of some kind. lol
A quick note to say THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEOS!!! I MISSED YOU.........I was having withdrawals while you were busy moving. When you say "Hey, Everyone, Joy here" my husband comes into the room to see you now!
How exciting to see you have fabric to play with!! I love to laugh too, it feels so good to my soul! My husband is too serious too! I am looking forward to seeing your new house out of Tulsa! Maybe I will run into you at a quilt shop or Joann’s here. That moving will cause you to lose weight, that is hard work!! Don’t work too hard!!
Can’t wait to see what you’re up to in Mounds! I’m really at a standstill in my new tiny sewing room. I have no more room to store anything and I still have stuff all over my cutting table that can’t stay there! I do have a quilting friend here that may want some things. I’m frustrated because I walk in there all motivated to organize and then I get overwhelmed and then I walk out😕 I need to get passed this and just get it done!! I know you could just come in here and show me what to do because you are gifted with your organization skills! I wish we were neighbors!❤️
Oh my goodness!!! I am having the exact same problem, only I have four different rooms to go back and forth from and to, and two are upstairs. So up and down and back and forth I go all day. Then there is the frustration of figuring out WHAT to take back to Kingston and what to leave here. There is a lot of room here, but not enough room in any one room. Hope that makes sense. I figure it will take a whole year to get this "new" house the way we both want it. Longer days and warmer weather will sure help. You will figure it all out, and it will be wonderful when you get it all put away or given away. Little is much more comfortable and relaxing in a lot of ways.
Talking about the skinny man & fat woman. My mom used to always sing this little song. “ Here comes the bride big, fat, and wide and here comes the groom skinny as a broom.” I can’t wait to see your new place.
I love those vacume. I have gone through about 5 of them. This is due to having 4 dogs and 4 grandkids living with me and before that having a house full of foster kids for 15 years. Kids and dogs are hard on vacume. Love your videos.
I know this sounds crazy, but I have done this many times and it works! You spray the stain with water really well. Then, just lay a towel over it and just leave it overnight. Don’t press the towel down. Check it the next day. Stain should be gone. Best wishes. 🌻
So glad you sound so happy. Jerry feeling better must be such a relief! Your knit fabrics are beautiful! I am envious of all your space LOL. We live full time in our RV, so you know how limited our space is. Your huge empty rooms look like heaven! I love hearing about all your ‘adventures’.
Hello Joy You are a busy gal I am sure that all the moving was exercise and you didn't know what a good workout you were doing packing everthing lol So it helped you lost some weight plus Jerry not eating Praise God for Jerry feeling better and back to himself Don't worry about your hair honey it always looks good I have been through breast cancer treatment and I wore a very real expensive wig it was great for the 2 years of treatment but I am thankful for my own much thinner hair .my hair is not the same as it used to be but I have a great hairdresser and we style it to look thicker .I am thankful for good health and don't fret about the hair God has given me a miracle from heaven You are a blessing to me I have watched you for years I discovered your channel during my treatment sewing saved my sanity when I was sick I was thankful for sewing you and the Utube channels like yours Have a blessed day Take care Joy
Happy that you found fabric to keep you busy. Having watched you for so long I knew you would find something to keep you busy. May God bless y'all and keep you safe and well.
Hi Joy, I hope you and Jerry are doing well. I have missed seeing your videos and looking forward to your next one. I’m sure moving and then kinda unmoving is very stressful, I hope you keep us posted on your progress. Best wishes to you both.
I used water with Dawn soap, vinegar and peroxide seemed to do the trick, just a drop of Dawn soap a few drops of peroxide oh and white vinegar .I hope this can help, test first .
So good to see you today Joy! Love your snippets videos😊 Yes please show us how you are organizing your 4-5 sewing spaces in your new house. I would love to see how you do that. You have a real gift with organizing! And I find it so interesting watching how people decide to organize their things. Safe travels tomorrow and see you soon!💕 PS I was able to get into my sewing room today and got some things put away. Yay! I still have a long way to go though. I wish I had your energy!😘
I'm so glad that you found some fabric treasures in your house. God knew you weren't going to sell so He had you leave some fabric behind so you can sew no matter where you are living. Have a safe trip back to your "new" house.
Hi Joy! Glad Jerry is doing much better. I had a total knee replacement 5 weeks ago. Anesthesia always makes me lose my appetite. But this time, the blood thinner I was put on after surgery made me have terrible indigestion. So just about everything I ate made me sick. I lost 17 pounds in 3 weeks. I’m gradually getting my appetite back, but I hope not to regain the weight. But I will wait before I buy any more clothes.
The drugs doctors give people are scary things. People really need to look them up on the internet and see what all the side affects are. They can be worse than the original problem. Glad you are eating again.
To take coffee out of a carpet what you need is baking soda Hydrogen peroxide and make it into a paste scrub it on to it wait for a few minutes and then either wash it out or cause you can scrub it out or you can use a Shop vacuum cleaner I'm sure your husband has 1 of those hanging around somewhere
Moving is AWFUL but with the Lord’s help, we do it joyfully! We moved this summer. My sewing studio grew from 12 x 16 to 14 x 30. I love it 😻. I am barely back to sewing, quilting, machine embroidery, etc! Therapy! Hubby needed the move for health reasons! Fishing…..NOPE! I talk too much! Make your big house pretty! Enjoy the space as long as you can! Love ya! You are so fun! 😊
Hi Joy! You were asking about the "cutting" tables. At my former home, I had a HUGE conference table that was in excellent shape - bought it for $25.00!!!! It was a bear to move, but we got it done and added some casters to the legs and a very large shelf down below. It worked out wonderfully! We have since moved and had to cut 1' off of each end to make it fit in my new room. (ugh) Hope you and Jerry are staying warm! Single digits here in south central MO. Blessings! Dona
Always happy to see new video come up. I have never been a coffee drinker in all my 75 years, but you make it sound so good, I wish I could get a strong desire for it. I don't even know how to make coffee; my husband makes his own. My family life is pretty much an exact replica of yours only our daughter has not had a desire for a relationship with us for over 20 years and turned our grandchildren against us. We've even asked help from our minister, and she says no. So, we've just turned it over to the Lord. He can do more than we can. Sorry, I really just meant to say hi and thank you for your channel and laughs. Good luck with your health...we are dealing with our own. Blessings
Sandi, I am so very sorry you are having the same issue with your daughter. It is this "new age" crap the kids learn now. College just brain washes them and so does the tv and the internet. So many broken families. It is heartbreaking.
I had to go grab myself a cup of coffee when I saw you drinking yours. It is extremely cold where I am too and a cup of coffee is just perfect in this weathers. 😋
I would LOVE to put that vacuum in my shop, but it isnt made anymore. I have several that style by Sears Kenmore. The canisters, like everything else, are made in China now, and they are totally different. They may not make them at all now. Not sure.
I just am waiting this now 4 weeks after it was posted. I just thought maybe you could take a camera when you go fishing and take some pictures ,just a thought.
Jelly roll lol I am thinking of the singer named jelly roll he is up for 2 Grammys you need to listen to his song (someone save me )it’s beautiful song he has another one but it has slipped my mind, but you would like that one too. ❤❤❤❤
Glad you found fabric in your house - how fun. How do you decide which house to go to and how long to stay? Is the weather different between the two? My one son lives 75 minutes north of us and his weather is always at least 10 degrees colder and he’s more in the snow belt area. Can’t wait to see your new sewing area in your new home.
You seem happy but I’m sad that your fabulous sewing suite is now so bare. If you someday video your new house sewing room(s),I’ll feel more settled too. The ‘attic’ is wonderful….
I have to share my families crazy moving story. When I was in the 8th grade my parents had an idea to leave the CA Bay Area and move to Australia. This was after immigrating to California from Sweden in 1959. This involved my Dad selling his Foreign Car Repair business thatcher had built from the ground up, selling rental properties and our house, selling the horses and giving away the family dog. Furniture and belongings were given away or packed into shipping containers to be transported from the port in San Francisco in a barge/ship to Australia. Well we moved and hated it from day one. My parents decided to try to stay a few days as a vacation since they had put such an investment into this long trip. They could only last four days and we were on a plane back to California once again. My parents managed to stop the container from leaving the port. My dad bought back into his business with now a partner. The family we gave the dog to wouldn’t give her back to us. So we were back in California and starting over. So I think this changing of mind story might top yours. It was a financial disaster for my family. Originally, my Dad was to travel to Australia first and kind of check out the lay of the land. My parents were always very impulsive on major decisions and decided to just go ahead and move the family all at once. So I guess the saying is the grass is not always greener on the other side!
@@Joy4650Bshe is organizing her sewing space and was talking about ruler organization. I told her that you have yours handy on the wall. I said that your videos are fun. She said that she had heard of you and was going to check out your videos. Another person said that she loves you too😊 we are spreading Joy wherever we go
Most of my possessions when I moved four years ago were my fabric and sewing items. Yikes, do I really have that much? Containers and containers of fabrics.
How’s the moving going? So curious! Can’t wait to see your progress ..hope you don’t feel like it all has to be perfect before you show us. I’d love to see your process😃
I learned from my Indian students that tailors in India build an extra 2 to 3 inches the side seams of women's tunics so they can be taken out and size expanded if the woman gets pregnant or gains weight. You may have to do that with your striped dress in case you gain when Jerry starts eating more. Haha!😅
I hope you and your husband are okay. I’m concerned about both of you because it’s been so long since you have been able to post a video. Praying for you and your husband. ❤
I use comic book boards that I got on Amazon. They’re thinner than foam boards, built still sturdy. They don’t work well for thick fabrics, though, unless I don’t have much yardage. Bonus: I don’t have to cut the foam boards.
Joy have you ever used the Accuquilt? Go Big? Seems like it would be quick and maybe a little fun?.Thoughts? You are so knowledgeable and have great advice.
Oh yes, I have the Accuquilt and a zillion dies for it. That was a real hard thing to pack and move for sure. They are NOT going back to the other house.
@@Joy4650B i have made small 5 inch squares for retreat table gifts for our sEw tired hands can open the quilters proof bottled water and also great for seniors in 6inch with a hanging loop for side of refrigerator…also keep one in car. i do have a very nice metal swivel gripper to open items with; however just one time being to tight on the metal grip and and holding water bottle in other….water volcano😱 and webster’s gets a new phrase for consideration. i just sew right sides together with loop insider and space to turn it right side out and straight stitch edge around.
