I’m 72 years old and I grew up in the 1950s in New Orleans in a housing projects. We were a family of mom and six kids. Mom was on welfare and she got 135.00 dollars a month. I couldn’t hardly afford a horse but I loved watching the Saturday morning shows with Roy Roger’s, Gene Autry and Hopalong Cassidy only to see the horses. I read every book I could find about cowboys and cattle drives and ranching and everything else that was cowboys. I was a Marine for 30 years and I never lost my desire to be a cowboy. It’s 2024 and I get pleasure from watching videos about cowboys. And I don’t mean the Hollywood cowboys. I admire the working cowboys. You good people are blessed to live that lifestyle.👍🙏

I’m someone who wants to pursue music and horsemanship and I’ve been going back in forth in my mind about giving it up for the sake of what other people think. I believe this video was confirmation from God that I need to pursue what he’s put in my heart. Thank you for this video.

Glad to hear it. Churchill wasn’t the best oil painter or brick layer but it was his form of leisure in a life plagued by stress and other peoples opinions. He believed making time for craftsmanship and leisure helped him better serve the people he was elected to lead. Stick with it, Brother!

I rode horses some as a kid. My dad was the kind that in high school, he bought a $25 mustang and staked it out along the railroad track and went down everyday after school to water and move the stake and give it a ride and sell it 60 days later. Life has changed in Utah and I spent most of my adult life working with computers and finally bought a horse 30 years ago as a mid life crisis. ( a much safer choice than a Red head and a Corvette) I had finally learned how to kill elk and it didn't take hauling an elk off a mountain more than once to convince me that I needed a horse. After buying a 3 year old. I quickly learned that I couldn't just ride a horse for a week or two in the fall for hunting season. It quickly transformed my life to spending all my free time playing with the horses, so I had a safe horse come hunting season. My hair has turned grey, I've put on some extra pounds. I still raise a foal every year and sometimes wonder why I'm still getting on young horses. The reward is, I've seen some of the most beautiful places in Utah. My horses are for covering ground, But I still enjoy helping several ranchers gather their cows in the fall. Best wishes to you and success with your channel.

Love this! My dad grew up on a farm with horses, but then got married, had kids, etc. and lived the sensible life. I'm now grown with kids of my own and have a small ranch with horses. Growing up hearing my dad's stories put that fire in me. Last year I trained a mustang for my dad, and one of my favorite things is riding with him and my boys. As a retired 71 yr old he's getting to relive his passion. I was so worried he'd die without getting to feel that love again. It's never too late, and I promise if you can help your parent or your child chase a dream, it's one of lifes best feelings.

I've been in transition from a successful business for over 20 years to my passion of professional business/mindset coaching for 2 years. Two things I've learned is that it takes a leap of faith and a strong commitment. I've struggled with both as I've left the security and comfort slowly behind. I'm selling my previous business and committing to my new venture. I was fooled into thinking it would be far easier than it's been due to it being my passion and really what I believe are my strongest God given gifts. I don't want it to be easy. We are truly alive when we are creating and honoring who we are authentically. On the mission God created us to pursue. I liked your comment about it being about the process. With a passion and calling, there is no destination. As a Christian man, the only hopeful destination is for Christ to tell me, "Well done good and faithful servant".

I appreciate your words of encouragement regarding the process. Too many times we want to bypass the process and just get to the results and over the years I have learned that if I don't respect the process then I won't get the outcome I want. I tell myself daily that the process is worth the provision. Stand strong and keep pursuing!
