In a layman's language, a normal processor which is used in our laptops or desktop have 2/4/8 cores which can handle some threads/jobs at a time but when we talk about the legacy server chips then you have multiple cores like 30/60/80/120 cores integrated into a single soc to handle multiple jobs/pings coming on the server from multiple users.

I had interest in hardware and software both equally, and I tried searching for how to become SOC engineer at Intel AMD etc., But weren't able to find any good and relevant answers. Your interview or say video really helped me out a lot, thanks mate 😁

No you cannot do the whole verification through automation. There are millions of gates which use to provide multiple functionalities. There are scripting and automation involved in UVM/OVM methodology but it requires a good understanding of architecture of design to verify each and every functionality of a chip which is going to ship to customer. So a huge amount of human knowledge and experience requires in it.

Already simulations taking about hours to complete. It would be a huge overhead, if you add automation on top of that
