@Prototype Eye well yeah it’s satire/parody. And like this guy says the US parody themselves… every country does. It’s called stereotypes. People just hyper focus on the US in media and world news. “Us is fucked” is such a lame and boring take in 2021. Might as well say Florida is humid and full of meth heads. We all know lol.
Reality is slowly becoming GTA. For example look at commerical nowadays. They straight up talk about sex and "adult" stuff uncensored, like in GTA, when they used to only be allowed to use little winks and metaphors to make dirty jokes. (Not that theres anything wrong with that btw)

That spanking punishment is actually a genius strategy to make staff happy. Annoying customer giving you trouble? No problem! Be polite, smile, and tempt them into buying more food than they can eat. The rest is history

Not gonna lie I unironically respect the guy more than most business owners out there because of how honest he is. He openly admitted that his food can kill people and he warns them about the risks and doesn't force them to eat at his restaurant. You'd think with those circumstances his business is doomed to fail but people still choose to eat there everyday. He's like the antagonist of the story but he never killed a single character. The characters themselves chose the risk of death proving an accurate point about Americans diet and the fast food industry.
McDonald's doesn't advertise as being healthy though and this dude actively rewards being obese. If anyone is under the illusion that fast food is healthy that's more an issue of their own ignorance and the amount of dick riding for this dude in the comments is a bit icky ngl
I completely agree.. It’s also sorta the same mentality a lot of drug dealers have. Like hypothetically if I sold cocaine, I’m not killing anyone. The customer chooses how much they do or don’t want to buy, and then how much they do or don’t want to use.
For every person who is tempted and goes to eat there, there's at LEAST one other who is given a big dose of shock therapy. The downfall of some is helping others see how insane it all is
His message is insane but I agree with it. The entire restaurant screams unhealthy, it's literally called the heart attack grill, but people still eat there anyway. Especially with the second spokesperson who died, he ate at the grill everyday. I also like how brutally honest he is.
No lies, no trying to promote his food as healthy, no minimizing risks - “this food can kill you” brutal honesty. A little off put by his actual _joy_ around people having heart attacks, but his business is indeed putting it all on the table, ashes and all.
@@your-username-here2308 you have to be exetremely unhealthy for one meal there to kill you. and its honest with the risks. anybody who dies there chose it by ignoring the most blatent warning there is.
I think I understand how his business is "promoting good health". He gives people heart attacks, banks on the chance that you survive it, and hopes the trauma of the experience gets you to eat healthy. Truly an evil genius.
not exactly, while that is the worst way to fix yourself, his whole shtick is more about seeing what's already happened and having the common sense to realise that it isnt a good idea to eat there in the first place.
@@randomizer368 basically the restaurant in a way is designed to shame you for being obese and make you understand that shame and motivate you change. you get weight in front of everyone and you get spanked if you can't finish your food
Exactly. They have a choice. They dont have to eat there, but they choose to do so anyway. Even with all the red flags, like how the words heart attack are in the fucking name, how the mascot is a guy who died there, how they make you wear a hospital gown, and how the food items are named after heart surgeries, people still eat there on a daily basis because they dont give a fuck. They walk into the restaurant smiling. Fucking smiling at the site of a human beings ashes, who died eating the food, then order it for themselves. If they don't give a shit about their own lives, then let them waste it.
Yeah his over the top nature means only people who REALLY don’t give a fuck will eat there, and maybe some people who would have if he gave them any excuse to believe it wouldn’t destroy them will shrink away to go eat a salad

I think the grim part here is that not a lot of people seem to even question the morality of fast food chain CEO's, because this guy is the only one who really has a name and presence, and states his intentions or message he is trying to convey by allowing this service to the public.
I love this guy. He's not a hypocrit. He's honest. And obviously the news clipped the interview to make it look as bad as possible. The cuts are mid word practically.
i think he deliberately makes a shining example of what gluttony and greed looks like so people can learn the hard truth about the obesity crisis. i don't think putting his former spokesman's ashes into an abc interview is necessarily a good look for him as a businessman or as a person, so i think his priorities are somewhere else but money. and i think that he's trying to fight the obesity crisis a different way, and he took the morbid, dystopian, and evil approach to it because that would be the only way people would learn. that's something i would never ever do but it is smart i'll give him that
@@godtrader6102 well if this guy is a Serial killer then McDonald's is a war criminal. Think for a second that free choice exists and that this doctor isn't telling you to eat at his restaurant but rather how much calories are you going to consume if you ate there, if you have no problems about it then it's your Fault. He is showing you how much you can avoid by making eating for Free a Choice, he is telling you that you can If you are that desperate for food. But he isn't going in Adds or marketing placement, he is literally telling you that " it's better off eating anywhere but my restaurant and if you're too stupid to understand then you deserve what you get." @@Mikhail_Malekov935 What makes you believe people who suffer from mental illness have free choice? It's pretty stupid to think mental illness = stupid.
I feel like Dr Jon’s origin story is that he grew up in an environment where he tried to get his family to eat healthy but they chose to eat like shit and died early, leaving him alone to stew in his resentment until he snapped and had a mindbreak episode where he decided to make the whole world feel his pain
That actually isn't far from the truth. He used to be a franchise manager for Jenny Craig but grew increasingly irritated with people coming in for help and not doing any of the work and lying to him or his employees about their eating habits so he opened the first Heart Attack Grill.
He is trying the reverse psychology approach and it's actually helped some people realize that they need to change their life choices when it comes to food intake.

This is what a real life Saw trap looks like. This guy is telling people to either choose to make their lives better or die. John was even Jigsaw's real fucking name. What is this
This guy's origin story is actually very interesting. He started out on the complete opposite side of fighting obesity as the owner of a gym franchise but he was sued by a major fastfood chain because his gym's name sounded similar to their restaurants. He lost the lawsuit and his businesses, his whole world was destroyed. He felt like he couldn't beat the fast food industry and all his efforts to promote health and wellness lost out because he didn't have as much money and couldn't afford better lawyers. From this sense of loss and failure, a villain was born. He decided basically if you can't beat 'em, join ‘em and that's when he opened the heart attack grill.

The heart attack grill actually has a pretty sad backstory, The manager was a personal health and fitness trainer dude, but so many clients gave up that he was like "eh, fuck it, they wanna eat? Let them eat" And opened the heart attack grill.
He knows no one can touch him because the entire food industry in America is peddling the same unhealthy things. This man is truly the lex luthor of our time.
This guy is fascinating. On one hand, his goals can be seen as admirable. He wants to make a statement about the fast food industry, and he does it without shame. On the other hand, what he's doing is wrong. He's essentially indirectly causing the deaths of people to both promote the restaurant and to make a point about health in America. He practically sells people actual lard, claiming they have the choice to stop, knowing full well that they won't, and even wants his customers to die for the purpose of making money. It's cynical. He's not presenting his customers with a chance to become healthier, he's only giving them so much of what they want that they either look in the mirror and realize what they've become or die. This man is final boss of Fast Food. He needs to be defeated.
