A Lifetime of Sundays: NFL History through the eyes of Four Female Team Owners 

That’s quite the fond memory. Even when that Super Bowl was one of the earliest ones, in NFL History. And yes, I was heartbroken, when Norma passed on, and Patricia, a couple of years ago, but what I am fond of, is the way the people associated with those two ladies, is doing all they ever can, to keep their legacy alive. As for you, I know going to a Super Bowl can change your life, for the better, but it can also have a bright spot in which you can never forget seeing, as years go by. Bless your heart, too. ❤️

Yes. When I was watching that heartbreaking moment, my dad (who was very close to him and his family) told me that he was actually there at that conference. Since his passing, nothing was the same for Bears fans, fans of him, as well as the Paytons and the McCaskeys. I was ever so fortunate enough to ever be praised by Walter, at 2 or 3 years old, when my dad acknowledged me to him, just before his diagnosis. “I like your style, kid.” said by Sweetness, himself, as he lifted me up in his arms. Won’t forget that ever…..and him.

She’s logged in an astonishing 57 Super Bowls, and her last ever one- the Chiefs won it, so with that, I’m proud of that victory, to be a part of Norma’s last ever experience, in Super Bowl history. And now, it’s up to Clark, Dan, Tavia, Gracie, Knobel, Ava, Darlington, and the rest of the family, to keep her legacy alive, and Lamar’s, too.

Bless her heart. She just turned 100 years old, this year, and still going strong, afterwards. Every Bears game (or even a playoff game) I watch, I’m always thinking of “how is she doing, while watching the game, or how is she overall.” Even so, Cris Collinsworth said it best about her- the “First Lady” of football, and Al Michaels once called her the “Grand Lady” of the BEARS. You can really learn so much history from her, when it comes to football, her family’s legacy, and her relationships with the team, Brian Piccolo and Walter “Sweetness” Payton.
