Wow! your dream house comes with all the necessities of modern life Penny. 😊Here it is apple and pear harvesting time as we put the mower away and try to keep the leaves out of the gutters. The fire risk is still with us after a very dry summer and no rain on the forecast.

You must be from ‘Down Under’! Our neighbour has a visitor from Australia. It was +17 the day she arrived and -10 with 20cm of snow the next. I don’t think she is too impressed! 😂 We are very close to the Rocky Mountains so our weather is always unpredictable, but Spring is especially interesting. I try not to complain though. Any moisture, even snow, is welcome. Last summer was especially bad for fires here as well. I hope you get some rain! 🌧️

Thanks Penny southern Australian weather is also variable, sometimes on the same day, however the temp is seldom below freezing. That’s why coffee is so important😊😊

Hello Penny. Thank you so much for another perfect video. Very innovative design for the fridge door, you’re one smooth operator 😊

Thank you so much Linda! There’s a song called Smooth Operator and now it is stuck in my head! 😂

Ah yes, that song’s been looping round in my head too. There’s a line in it ‘We move in space with minimum waste and maximum joy’ Very true. I also keep thinking of you and your stair conundrum. Have you sorted it yet?

@pennyssmallspaces 6 месяцев назад
No. 😂 I can make the stairs work but I also had this idea for a working elevator. I just need to decide which one, and soon! Now that Spring is almost here, I will be cutting and installing the walls in the next month. 😁

I kind of want to ask you why you’re waiting for spring. It gives me the impression that you’re planning on building a full size house (and I know it’s 1:12th) I just knew you would put in a lift. I did exactly that in a modern house I built (very swanky) and the lift was all glass and mirrors, it looked great but I wanted it to be fully operational and the electrics involved were too steep a learning curve. Plus the basement swimming pool I’d was also beyond my ken, so I demolished it and started a 1930s house with an art deco interior. Much safer ground for me. Anyway, thank you once again for all the inspiration you send

@@lindahart7133 Great question! I need to use an electric saw (table saw) to cut the walls. I don’t want to cut them inside and deal with that mess so once the weather warms up, I can do that outside. I had hoped to do it in the fall but ran out of time. The elevator will be a challenge but my husband, who makes it sound so easy, has offered to help if I get stuck.😁

I’d have put the hinge on the other side myself.

Where do you get those weights you use and what are they actually called
@pennyssmallspaces
@pennyssmallspaces 6 месяцев назад
Hi Cindy, they are called Set Up blocks, or 1-2-3 Blocks. I got mine from Amazon but I think most hardware, or building supply stores, carry them as well!
