I started my miniature journey when my then 3 year old granddaughter ‘wished for a dollhouse’. I fell down a rabbit hole that I never want to come back out of. I honed my craft watching other miniaturists on RU-vid, and now here I am with my own channel. I hope you enjoy what you see, and are inspired to dig out some tools and follow along!
Hi Gail, I have just checked and cannot locate an email from you. Can I ask you to resend to my other email: ladybug.vines@gmail.com. Thank you and my apologies!
This is a great tutorial Penny, well worth the wait. Minis with moving parts are a challenge but this table is simple but very effective and versatile. The pedestal legs look so French ‘provincial’ in the white and will suit many settings (no pun intended).👏👏👏 Thank you!
Wow. Another clear concise tutorial for something very complicated (at least to my mind, I couldn’t figure out how the heck it would work). Thank you Penny
I’m so in love switch your table Penny. As always your talents amaze me. Thank you for sharing your work. Hopefully I can get back to building soon. Old eyes don’t like reading small marks on rulers lol.
I’m right there with you Sheila! I find myself reaching for the reading glasses more often than not. Thank you for the nice comment, you are too kind!💚
What a great table. And, as you say, lots of ways to modify it to suit one's decor. It's that cool mechanism underneath. I made some working pocket doors in my Sherlock Holmes house that had a similar idea, but I hadn't thought to use it on furniture. Thank you so much.
Thank you, thank you Penny. I was searching for one just an hour ago and found one which is made in Australia. Hooray I thought, something is actually made in my country for a change. But I bombed out as they had sold out. I then researched online and saw diy pleaters. I saw one that used skinny sticks but didn’t know what they were. I thought maybe some bamboo skewers might work. Hmm I will keep looking on RU-vid and then I saw your tutorial. Another hooray, Penny has done a trial. I don’t have to spend a day trying to see if it would work. Penny I must say you are a marvellous teacher with a very calming voice. So now this old gal can save this for future use. Thank you for sharing. Cheers Robyn 😊❤
Hopefully useful feedback. Camera is too far away from the build and the top down view is not actually that helpful except as an occasional view. Otherwise, great build and fantastic story about finding the original stove.
Thank you for the feedback Mary Kay! It is a constant struggle for me to get the angles and distance right. Hopefully some of the newer videos are better for you. 💚
@@littlebylittledollhouseminis I still love your work. That pull out couch was amazing! And the stories about your grand parents. Keep up the great work.
I am needing a mini Dr. Exam table and saw this tutorial which is so close to what I need to make mine. THANKS for your straight forward directions. Helps my confidence level. You are great at furniture, in english too. Thank you!!
I'm new to your channel and just adore this. You are a very creative person and I've subbed after watching this video 😊. I'm going to build a dolls house and will be making all the items ,not buying them. Thank you for your creations ❤
Absolutely! Just know that while most of my miniatures are original designs, there are others where I take inspiration from pictures I find online. I cannot speak for the original designer in those cases. 😁
This is adorable! Thanks for sharing! Tinyview posted a link to your channel and I am so glad she did. I am now a new subscriber; I love miniatures and really appreciate all who share their techniques.
Genius and superbly done, as always! Great use of throw away (is there really such a thing to a miniaturist? I think not!) items! I just used a smaller size blister type pack to use as a “mold” shape for “homemade bread loaves” for my bakery-in-process! It worked perfectly! I so enjoy your videos - for the inspirations, amazing techniques and your clear and complete instructions- verbally and visually! Thanks much! Kathleen ❣️
Hi Kathleen! Thank you as always for the kind comments. You really do brighten my day! What a great idea to make a bread mold! I believe I will steal it!💚
@@littlebylittledollhouseminis ❣️”steal away” way my mini friend …I’ve “stolen” so MANY great techniques and ideas from you! My compliments are so sincere! You have such amazing skills and a refreshing sense of ease and joy about your process! ❣️Kathleen
I've been doing dioramas for a little while but I love your tutorials. No weird music and not a ton of needless banter. Clear instructions!! ❤❤❤❤ Awesome job.
Thank you Anita! There was a time when I thought I might add the music (since most others use it) but have since realized that most don’t enjoy it as much as I thought they did!😆 Thank you for watching! 💚
Hello Penny, I am mesmerised as always by your precision and skill. Would never have thought of using silver nail polish. I learn so much from your videos. Since starting my recent obsession with minis, encouraged by you know who, I find myself addicted to keeping anything that could be converted into something. Hence my accumulation of junk!
Hello Patricia! For years I gave my husband a hard time over the ‘Junk’ he collected. How I have my own supply! Thank you for watching and for allowing your know who to share your cake day pictures. I hope to join you both one day! 🍰
@@littlebylittledollhouseminis It would be so lovely to meet you one day Penny. In the meantime please make more videos. I know it will take more than a sprinkling of fairy dust for my efforts to even come close. Thank you.
Ingenious mini project Penny, just the thing for a little spare time. 👏 I like the use of the throw-away packaging, a very clever idea! I can imagine filling the trays with eggs, bacon, baked beans tomatoes or other breakfast foods. Thrift shops sometimes have bottles of nail polish in some very unusual colours. They come in handy for painting plastic and metal bits and bobs, negating the need to buy expensive paints.
Well done Penny, very realistic. I was a typist for many years until word processors came in followed by computers and then everyone became typists. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent. Cheers Robyn ❤😊
Thank you Robyn! I took typing for 4 years in high school and my kids can type just as fast as I can, with 2 fingers. It is a lost art but I did love my typewriter (the real one). Thank you for watching!💚
You are so precise with glue. I go nuts when I watch some of these shows where the personloads the glue on. You might mention that more glue isn't better. The amount you use is perfect! You really give a good demo with precise markings. I am in Washington state and I am coming around to understanding the metric system. You either learn it, or you struggle to keep up with the world. You don't go off subject, get silly, and you are so easy to understand. That my friend is why I subscribed.
Thank you so much! Glue is my nemesis really, and it took a long time to get it right 😁. Ahh, the dreaded metric system. Metric came to Canada when I was finishing high school so I tend to use both systems. For example, I use metric to measure most distances, but still use feet and inches when talking about someone’s height. When it comes to miniatures, I find 14 millimeter’s far less confusing than 35/64ths of an inch.😂 Thank you so much for watching and subscribing. I appreciate your support!💚
I'm new to your channel I love everything you have done its so amazingly . I'm learning how to to tiny things with furniture. ever since I was 8 years old I love to do cross stitch. Your so easy to follow with your direction.
Here in Canada it is almost impossible to source the craft plywood so for a while I was ordering it from the UK. Luckily I live only a couple of ours from the USA border so I take trip every year or two to the states. There are likely quite a few options in the USA but I buy it from Hobby Lobby.
