Its funny whem I see these videos about wakimg up at 7 or 6 am in the US as being terrible. Here in brazil the average worker in a big city wakes up at 5, 4 or even 3 am.

Hi! Just discovered your channel and I think it's greaaaat! But on the side I see "Why you shouldn't become a Mechanical Engineer", kinda scary but I'm a graduating student already. Anyway, you got any tips for me as I am a mech engineer who aspires to work on airlines/aircrafts? I know I shoulda took aeronautical/aerospace engineering but I wanted to be in the Mech so I can be more versatile. Thank you in advance!

Haha no need to be scared of that video, you'll see :) My tip for breaking into a specialized industry with a general degree is to learn as much as you can about the industry and specifically the company you're applying to, to really show them that you're motivated and are willing to put in the work - and then mention it in your application. For example, read a few books (pick classics that everyone in the industry knows), watch a famous documentary or take a university class if you still can. And the other tip is to first of all apply to the kinds of companies you want to work at. Don't let it stop you from applying that your degree doesn't match 100%, they might not even care about it. Don't take the decision for them. If you don't try, your chances are zero. If you try, they're higher :)

Just out of curiosity, why do you live in a location where you have to commute 2 hrs a day? Are there no apartments closer to where you work?

I switched roles at my company which meant suddenly working at a different office. I love Stockholm, so I didn't want to move away from there. I also didn't want to move to a small town since I prefer the city 😅 But indeed, something had to change after a while (and it did as I shared in my recent life update)

Hi! That depends on what goals you have for your career. The job sounds very interesting and like you will learn a lot, so if you're excited to learn more about chemical engineering, it could be a great way to build out your profile!

Your reality is not so different from mine. I live in Brazil. I am a mechanical engineer and I wake up ta 5:15 a.m., go out to my home at 5:45 am, and walk to a bus station. I travel to my work about 1 hour and start to work at 7:30 am. My lunch time is between 11:30 to 12:40 and I finish my work time at 17:30 pm. I catch a bus and arrive to my home at 18:45 pm.
