A Look At Some People Working On Christmas 

This is my first job and will be working on Christmas from 3-10 at night 😩

I personally Will Not patronize retail or entertainment establishments on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day ..., I have 363-364 other days in the year to indulge in a movie, dining out, going to a bar or even going to a store to shop. Everyone deserves to have at least 2 days in the year to enjoy time with their loved ones or alone, if they prefer. A time to reflect, relax, read a book, go for a walk, run ..., etc. Years ago, I would sometimes go to the movies on Christmas and felt so guilty about the ushers and other staff that were working on Christmas (as you could plainly see that the majority of them really didn't want to be at work, as much as they tried hard to smile and make me feel welcome). And don't give me that shit about: "then they should find another line of work" ..., it all boils down to corporate greed and the public's constant need to be entertained at the expense of others. Now, I understand that there are jobs that are essential 24/7 ..., such as Hospitals, Police, Fire Fighters, Pharmacies, Gas Stations, etc..., basically, everything else should remain Closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas ...,

Why I work Christmas week, 1.5 pay days before and after. 3X pay the 25th and it's just another day for me. My Manager and I have an arrangement, I work Christmas week, I can ask any day off with in reason as long as I have time to burn. I'm on Top of the list time any other day when I ask.

The holidays are a time for family and to relax, and not have to work and look for ways to keep making money.

Today was christman and I'm a barista by profession and i was working my ass off..

Sometimes you have to work on Christmas (sometimes)

I will never ever ever work on Christmas EVER! Holidays are a time to relax and be with family, no wonder why people are depressed especially children who don’t get to see their dad or mom because they’re working ON CHRISTMAS, working on holidays is stupid, you have all the year to work at least 1-2 days off won’t hurt anyone

If they were followers of any other religion but Christianity, then it wouldn't bother them as much since Christmas doesn't mean anything to them.
