A MAGICAL CHRISTMAS IN NARNIA: A FAIRYTALE COME TO LIFE AT CASTLE HOWARD IN YORKSHIRE// Hello lovely people, Today we're finally sharing our visit to beautiful Castle Howard in North Yorkshire. Joerg and I saw the stunning Christmas displays there with the theme 'Christmas in Narnia'. The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of seven fantasy novels by the Irish-born novelist C.S. Lewis. We experienced a magical Christmas that felt like a fairytale come to life. It was so magical that we can't even put it into words so we hope our footage with the music we picked will transport you to this magical land. Enjoy! Kirsten & Joerg xx

I just cannot find words to describe the overwhelming visual impact of the Christmas decorations and the displays! Ooh, my, this is such a stunning place with all the beautiful lights and decorations. I can't even imagine how many people and hours it took to set it all up. Thank you so much for also including the outdoor scenery. I appreciate it so much. I live in the desert with wide open spaces and spectacular horizons, but its such a pleasure to travel and visit wonderful place via your films. How absolutely stunning and gorgeous and magical. I love the nursery with the teddy bears picnic, just adorable. The long corridor using the marble statues was genius. The magnificent banquet table . As a former florist I can only imagine how many hours of work went into planning and putting this together. I used to start planning in January for the arrangements I did at our Church and school each Christmas, I’d be right at home doing this! If only I had the energy nowadays!

Thank you for sharing your outing to Castle Howard. The decorations were so beautiful. The giant Christmas tree with the icicles was out of this world and I loved the dining table with the animals on it. Whoever designed and decorated the displays was very creative and talented I think. I loved the Narnia touches with the lamp post and the lion statue on the bed of Aslan.

This is awesome to see a house that decorates like I use to. 14 years of spending 5 to 10 thousand dollars each year to decorate my inside and outside. I had a winter wonderland house. People wanted to stay all night to watch all the moving ornaments on my trees. Santa swinging from the roof, snow outside, bubbles inside with flashing Xmas lights lighting up every pathway in my house and around the outside! Dressed up trash cans, big light show outside with full motion pictures of Santa and his reindeer. It took two months of hauling it down and putting it together and 3 weeks to put it all away. I am a retired nurse and I do love making people happy. I do miss my winter wonder land. But I am happy I can go see others who dedicate their income to go towards bringing joy through vision and wonders. Christmas can feel so magical in the right place. I was miss happy homemaker after work cooking up large meals, cookies, pies, cakes and giving gifts away. I truly understand people who love Christmas.
