Today's video is a must have if the grid goes down kerosene heater. As of now it's my way to keep warm in the workshop. On February 11-20, 2021, a historical winter event occurred that set many records, including being the first billion-dollar weather disaster of that year. A deep freeze impacted parts of the continental United States (CONUS), remarkably engulfing the entire state of Texas. I took that as a wake-up call. A reminder how things can easily go wrong if you are not prepared. Most people were not ready for that weather event. Some had to burn furniture or anything that could keep them warm. Homes were so cold, some families preferred to stay outside by the fire. The grid went down! People were using their vehicles to stay warm in the garage. Not understanding the dangers of carbon monoxide. 19 people died from carbon monoxide poisoning as they tried to heat their homes or cars as the unrelenting cold continued. I'm hoping this video helps for those that don't know there are off-grid ways to stay warm in your home, no matter what type of home you live in. In the 1800s kerosene heaters were the common way to stay warm in your home. Now most people don't even know how to use it! This video is for my subscribers and viewers to be prepared. Prepping can save the lives of your loved ones and yourself.
