I love that you highlight the importance of medium and then actually discuss it! Especially between graphic novels and video games which aren’t discussed enough! Thank you mr hoot
every day, im confronted with the knowledge that my favorite youtubers all watch my favorite youtubers. im in a tunnel, and i wonder if the breeze has picked up without my noticing
Yay! Owl critisism! And plague doctors! I havent played Bloodbourne, but I'm excited to learn about it. Maus mention! One of the best graphic novels of all time
I Am In Eskew mention! one of my favourite re-treadable horror stories, 30 episodes of well-rounded life-themed body horror tales that still sometimes strike me with new meaning following a Life Experience of some sort. ok i will now watch the rest of the bloodborne tie-in graphic novel video
ESKEW MENTION LET'S FUCKING GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (1 minute 30 in, so idk if you bring it up later, but The Silt Verses blows Eskew out of the water, Jon Ware is mind bogglingly talented. Anyway, onto the rest of the video!!!)
@@OwlCriticism It is THE pinnacle of folk horror, I can't even describe what an immaculate piece of audio fiction it is... Robust, complicated, fascinating characters, gorgeous prose, quite literally perfect pacing. Very little horror actually affects me anymore, but there are more than a dozen instances in this show that make me want to curl up under the blankets and hide. Seriously, if you like Eskew, you've got to give this a go :)
Woooo Eileen!! These games are so not character focused at all, and yet they somehow manage to have some of the coolest characters, and Eileen is absolutely up there. I love her a lot!
I loved House of Leaves for being my first real stick in my mind. I don’t remember most horror movies, and scenes I do remember are not scary, but I will forever remember reading the red strike through text and scaring myself badly.
