Studio Eclypse started as a small team of people making an animated version of a "manga" fanfiction of an alternate ending of Attack on Titan called "Attack on Titan: Requiem" originally made by another team and Studio Eclypse have been working on their animated episode of that since like 2021 which is allegedly set to release in Fall 2024. This is why the music sounds Attack on Titan inspired (the person who made the song for this trailer loves the composer of AoT) and it's probably also probably why the shot at 1:52 looks a LOT like Attack on Titan considering they've been trying to imitate the Attack on Titan art style for years. You'll probably notice more shots reminiscent of Attack on Titan if you look closely. Ontop of that Attack on Titan as you probably know being a Berserk fan and all is also suuuper inspired by Berserk. The team has obviously grown in size since their foundation and are filled with talented people who all seemingly have a love for Berserk so I guess they decided "why not try making a Berserk fan anime too?". I hope and pray they don't get shut down with a cease and desist considering they're technically in a legal grey zone by doing it "for free" even though they on the side accept patreon subscriptions because I'd love to see them succeed and bring the community an amazing and faithful adaptation.
They explicitly have not been trying to copy the aot art style. SNR is trying to in making their manga of it but Studio Eclypse has their own art vision of it.
@@datwee7576 ok but despite how they "intend" on it, it's so obvious they are heavily inspried by the AoT WIT style and working on an AoT project for years has 100% influenced this project as well in many ways like i stated in the original comment.
@@TonysLittleFavorite From what I can tell from talking with people on discord who worked on the project, there is a lot of difference in whos working on them. I have brought up mimicking Wit or MAPPAs style and they have reiterated to me that they are not going for either and are pushing for a unique style. They have a few keyframes done by people from Wit but the art is very much their own. Also the trailer for Berserk is a compilation of works from other artists. Its very clear that they have no unifying style or inspiration for it.
I recently watched Berserk 1997, and I totally get how you feel. The Eclipse event was shocking and left a deep impression on me. It made me want more, so I started reading the manga. It's truly a masterpiece!
Excellent! So glad you were able to experience this without spoilers. You can never have that first time. Glad you got into it. It’s one of the only anime that’s ever captivated me like that enough to read the manga. Amazing. Thank you for sharing your thoughts
Its not new and they never did anything about it, and if they do they will get heavy bad rep, whats probably gonna happen instead given the popularity achieved is that they're just gonna hire studio eclypse and make the anime official, its ez money too.
