A vlog of my entire month alone in India. Most of my time was spent in Yoga shalas in Rishikesh. I took this training as a personal investment and was able to depeen my practice so much! I know many of you will be curios about the name of my training and my previous training so heres some short info on that..
YOGA T R A I N I N G
My first training : 200HR Moon Sun Fire Hatha at The Practice Bali
- rooted in tradition
- amazing philosophy classes
- teachers are really there to answer Qs and help
- A bit pricey & didn't include living situation
My most recent training : 200HR Primary Series at Tattva Yogashala
- the ashtanga primary series is so amazing to learn
- The adjustments class was 10/10
- The philosophy didn't go as deep as I would have liked
- So reasonable ( training included the room and two meals a day for the month )

My religious beliefs : I don't normally like to make statements about this or put myself in a box but I get a lot of questions about it! For the past three years I have been practicing both Hinduism and Buddhism.I resonate with a lot of other religions and feel that everything I've learned in my life has affected how I view faith & has added to my beliefs. I was raised orthodox Christian and was bribed to go to church so I could eat breakfast. I was baptised and confirmed in the church later in my life after attending religious classes, but they never really resonated with me. I completely dropped the Christian faith when I began my personal spiritual journey and discovered Buddhism. I very much aligned with Buddhism, found a community around it and began meditating all the time. I later discovered Hinduism when I moved back to New York. I always knew about it and how deeply rooted yoga in it but when I started studying with a friend who was raised Hindu I just fell in love. I have been learning, reading, studying Hinduism ever since and using different branches from Hinduism in my life. I recommend reading the Baghavaad Gita if you're interested, my favorite interpretation is by Pramahamsa Yogananda.
I prefer saying " I align with this or that religion" rather than " I Am this or that religion" Because I am not the religion, just in this moment my being aligns with these set of beliefs or practices :)

- Q & A -
How do you stay in shape?
Mostly through yoga and I workout at Least once a week in the gym. I also like doing sneaky workouts throughout the day like crunches while I'm editing and squats in between making breakfast.
Do you resonate with being called a hippie?
Not at all. I resonate with some of the messages from that time but I'm not trying to be a hippie at all, nor do I do any drugs or psychedelics. The spiritual practices I study, like yoga, are scientifically proven. I'm happy just taking fashion inspiration from that era.
What are your spiritual beliefs?
I currently resonate deeply with Tantra and Hinduism. Buddhism will always play a part in my life as well!
Thank you for being just who are you.
With so much love,
Hitomi
