Hey Guys! I hope you enjoy today's video. I wrote all the meal details for this video in the description box with macros + measurements per meal...I hope you feel inspired to get in the kitchen. Let me know what you would like to see next? Should we make the meal prep videos more often, or do you prefer the FDOE? or Both?
@@gingerbreadwomen I’m currently in my offseason from competing in a maintenance phase… I’m a bit more flexible during this time. I aim to get anywhere 1900-2100 calories per day.
@Plant Powered the lovely thing is you prep this stuff for the week in a couple hours once a week. You’re actually spending less time cooking than you would normally.
Good idea about prepping the dry ingredients first for each one and then just adding the milk night before daily. Anything that makes plant based eating more convenient helps stay on track!
THIS!!!!! I've been struggling to get back into "the groove" with my eating, now I have a template. You have helped this old lady more than you can know. I recently started doing barbell work, and after using the barbell, I think "Just like Natalie Matthews!". Thank you so much!
ugh going vegan at 56 has been a struggle just learning how to re-eat my father was Port Rican and did most of the cooking so breaking those needs for zest has been difficult as i am not familiar with a lot of these veggies and tofu vegan things i have never even heard of its like going back to school lol but plz keep making your videos as they are very helpful, thank you
Good luck to you!! It was hard for me to figure out New Mexican cuisine with vegan ingredients, but I did it!! Here I am 4 years later. I would suggest lentils to replace ground beef and refried pinto beans may also help. Tofu is good when it's been cooked to death and is slightly chewy (pepper, cumin, and salt make it chicken flavored). I hope this is helpful/encouraging.
The beginnings are very hard. I had zero idea what to make for breakfast or for dinner, how am I gonna eat on the parties etc. But trust me, after some time, research and few tries and fails, vegan cooking is just cooking. You'll look at some meat or dairy recipes and you'll have an idea how to veganize them. I've been vegan for 6 years and it gets so normal to eat like that😊
Good luck! Hope you’re doing well. I so understand this - my family is Haitian. We use a lot of veg but it was still meat focused, so going vegan was like “what is a meal?!” LOL Just know the whole lot of us went through that! Also make it fun like “what can I discover or try this week” - for me that worked. I’m still trying out new vegetables 6 years later 😂
I’m German, I understand. But I’m almost on the vegan journey for 5 years again. (Did 6 years 20 years ago and fell off). Feeling strong in my workouts and feeling great at 61. You can do it. 💪🏻
Thank you for this!! As a vegan training for my first bikini show next year I find it hard to make very much in advance and spend a lot of time cooking each day. These suggestions are super helpful. ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you for the recipes. I had a slip and fall the day after Christmas in ‘19, surgery in April ‘21, and physically out of shape. This is a lot to deal with mentally, because I was physically fit, and had a nice shape before the accident. I ordered protein bundle in hopes of turning my mobility issues around. Thank you for the coupon code. I look forward to more of your videos to assist with my journey. Hugs 💕
I tried the artichoke macro bowl and it was sooo good. It’s now one of my go to! I also hadn’t had overnight oats until I saw this video and now I’m a fan. Thank you for sharing!
This was fantastic! I am coming off a 10-day cleanse soon and wanting to try a vegan meal plan, but was worried it would be boring and tasteless. but you've shown in this video vegan meals can be hearty and tasty while providing the necessary nutrients, protein, etc. You've got me hyped to get started!! I've just subscribed to your channel as well as started following your shopping lists on Amazon.
This was a great video!! I must admit that I have been eating too much vegan junk food and I do want to make this recipe! Thanks for showing that you don't have to eat meat to be in shape!
I’m new to macros (hired a nutrition coach) and your videos are EVERYTHING. I’m plantbased and my macros are 135g/day so this video was particularly helpful. Thank you so much for sharing everything you do.💞💞💞💞
Love this- my body truly functions best in the vegan, whole food plant based realm! At age 53 I do need a high amount of protein! This was very helpful and so glad that you shared it, I had subscribe and would love to see more videos like this!!
Thanks so much for this video! I love having simpler options for weeks that are really busy! :) BTW - I am OBSESSED with the “cookie dough” using the LivBody powder & vegan pudding mix! thanks for that video too! Smiles!
I LOVE these I’m definitely making ALL this!! Can you make a video explaining how you decide how many grams of everything goes into everything. I’ve been trying to track macros and I feel like I’m in math class every day all day lol!! It confused me on how to split everything out through out the day.
This is my first comment on RU-vid - but girl, you are worth it! This video is AMAZING - thank you! I´m just trying to reduce my protein intake from meat and any kind of animal-protein as much as possible (not to 100% vegan) and it was difficult for me to prep something vegan and also meet my protein-intake - and as I also don't like to stay the whole day in the kitchen to cook - this video was exactly what I needed. Thank you for sharing it - I would be very helpful if you would share more contents like this :)
THIS IS MY FAVORITE MEAL PREP VIDEO IVE EVER WATCHED. just ate all these meals for the last two days. I love how easy and full of protein they are. So easy and so good. PLS PLS PLS make more of these videos!!!! All of the vegan ones are always so high in carbs and so time consuming!
Thank you so much 🥲 reading this made my day💕 I definitely want to make another one. Ps: follow my insta if you’re not already… I’ve been doing a lil meal prep series 💕
Thank you so much for this video. I am a vegan and enjoy working out and keeping the body properly nourished. This video was perfect! 🥰 xoxo from Seattle!
YES!!! I recently tested and I can eat gluten! So bring on the seitan, lol! Love getting meal ideas from you that are high in protein. I'm also at 120-130g protein a day.
Hi Natalie - I LOVE your videos! As a fairly recent plant based weight lifter, I always struggle with how to hit my protein goals. YOU are my source of inspiration. Curious where you found the vegan Miso Mayo or what the brand is? I don't see it in the notes and I tried to catch it on the video but can't quite make out the brand. Thank you!
You are so welcome! The Miso Mayo, I get it at Whole Foods Market and Lassen's Grocery. I'm pretty sure some vegan online stores carry it as well. The Brand name is " So GOOD Food Co."
I cannot believe I have not come across your channel before. I live the vlog by the way. For people who don't train and want to knowing that diet is key this is really helpful. The potions in particular and the sources of protein. Glad I have found you and look forward to more.
Legit so grateful for you. I am in South Africa & being vegan is very rare & uncommon here. I am an aspiring IFBB athlete & the meal plans I get from coaches here are 70% meat and I HATE it, I genuinely just do not enjoy it, but I believed it was something I HAD to do to build muscle and get lean. Since watching your videos (only found you super recently) I managed to find Seitan & have it very night for dinner now & it makes the world of difference even having one less meat meal a day. THANK YOU for bringing the possibility of competing & being vegan to light!!!
There has never been a recorded case of protein deficiency ever published in a medical journal. However excess protein based on research does not look too appetizing.
this is brilliant thank you, its not too boring, its great information for a young adult like myself who barely knows how to cook or what kind of foods to have a balanced diet when doing physical trainng and wants to transition into vegan meals and also not wasting food! lol! so this is great thank you i love these kind of videos and you explained everything really well! thank you !
New to this vegan journey while trying to gain weight, and muscle. I was 170lbs(5'11) but then I cut back on a lot of process foods that I was eating when I first started vegan last year, not knowing what to eat wanting to have a cleaner diet. I lost 10lbs(currently 160lbs) but this video helped a lot thank you.
Great suggestions. We certainly have a lot more control over our health than we have been taught. Good habits are proactive activities that can lengthen our lives greatly.
1. I always love your nails. Are they just a short acrylic or vegan shellac polish? 2. I love your tea kettle! It's so fun and cute!! 3. Your shirt was so busy it kept making my eyes feel funny 😅 4. I think your tile backsplash is peeling 😟 5. I love meal prep and what I eat videos!!! You should come out with an e-book!!!!!! 🤗
Apple pie oats my go to and super easy .. Chopped Apple, cinnamon, oats, vegan vanilla protein, vanilla oat or almond milk. Top with Greek vegan yogurt in the morning dash of cinnamon. Can also make protein yogurt mixing yogurt, protein, milk. Also at 16:40 Doritos let’s go
Thank you so much. I am struggling with post menopausal muscle loss and trying to figure out how to get more protein in my body without breaking the bank.
I just want to know why it took me so long to find her. I’ve been vegan for 7 years and lifting for 4-5 years. And it’s not just oats and tofu and broccoli
New subscriber here - love LOVE this video… new and much needed inspiration so THANK YOU! And this is not boring nor plain cooking IMO, so helpful! More please! :)
