A NEW POWER DIV?! SD2 League S11 Game 1 on Orsha East- Steel Division 2 

Hegyivadász is one of those squads that, at current loadout would be right at home at 22.5 points. With how many cards you get, 20 points would make it too cheap and op, but 25 points makes it just inefficient enough to not be worth it. Very much the same as it was with Koruck and the SS-Schupo (only In that case 15 and 20 points). Maybe take away 2 rifles and lower them to 20 points? They would maybe be weaker than other hybrid units (jagers) by a very slight amount, but you do get the molotovs which compensate quite a bit.Edit: Also have to appreciate Liszek's in-game name. I recognise exceptional taste when I see it. (Weeb in-joke, don't worry if you don't get it)

I agree, this game still looks nice. Even in high resolution all text is sharp and terrain looks like sattelite pictures.

I think 25th is a division that is very flexible and would be a good first pick. Has tools to deal with heavy and super heavy armor, lots of direct and indirect HE infantry support (even though the support tab itself sucks), and the actual infantry are generally pretty efficient and numerous. Been thinking 25th could be a good V for Victory candidate. Early income to set up strong points and pay for arty and ME-210s, B phase you can access 20 pt lovesz and arka and 25 pt 25g, plus inexpensive armor (pz4, t34, zryni, SU-85) and support the front line with the arty and me-210 from A-phase. Then C phase you can afford whatever you want, inc the expensive Panthers.

Not sure why 2nd on vanguard. They don't don't seem to have a special A phase, just a few M8s for light armour and your best line infantry is phase locked.

so I'm just a dude, and Liszek also won, but my observation on 25th deck build: 1) I'm not sold on the recon infantry. They aren't really powerful at any range, and they don't hold space. You have the 2 man teams, aerial recon, and the Pz4. I'd rather have Lovesz. 2) At least one card of recon infantry would have been well served as the Csaba, given the likelihood of running into halftracks and the lack of infantry AT from 2ndUS. 3) With two cards of Arka and the 25G, unless it's a desperate CQC map/matchup, I'd rather have Lovesz than B card of Hegy (and maybe even in A instead of Roham). AT capability, cost efficient presence on the field 4) I think I'd rather have the 75mm arty than the offmap. Better ability to suppress/eliminate enemy AA, or just act as super long range mortars. 5) the FW-190 fighter was always a wasted card. It's never catching anything 2nd US sends out, unless it's already loitering. Would have been more useful to bring JU-87 recon. 55 points gets you vision and it can do some actual strafing or kamikaze head on a plane to get a 20mm burst off and help the bofors shoot it down. 6) He made decent use of the JU-87 early, but without the arty to suppress AA they got locked out before A phase was over, and he didn't seem to use his Air recon to find AA and target it.

Liszek definitely made an error not bringing in the at rifles. They are such a must in this div, you need at least 2 cards

Shermans I just wish felt better against other Medium Armor. 70-80 points for an Anti Infantry platform just feels like massive overkill if you also can't leverage its AT capabilities. You have no chance against a Stug, T-34-76s are usually a coin flip, and Panzer IVs depends on the range. The current balance around Shermans seems to be around double vetting them to give them crazy high accuracy and RoF to help make up for their abysmal Penetration. This works great for the 80 point variant, but the 70 point variants don't get the better curve, and can't be double vetted without cutting your total numbers in half. (I'm told this is being fixed next patch) Personally I just think it continues to make Shermans better at what they were already good at, but what are you going to do? Edit: iirc, the complaint about fanatical was about its limited value outside of CQC.

steel division 2 players try not to cockblock themselves by turning off weapons at the dumbest possible moments challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)

Man P-38s are so nerfed, they could literally carry 2x2000lb bomb, HVARs and had survived things like hitting a frickin phone pole that collapsed half of its wing and still managed to fly back to base. At least give it medium resilience and maybe like 10~20% more gun accuracy.
