Your advice about keeping an open mind in the kitchen is very good advice. My late father used to tell me that if someone has a different way of doing something, even if you think you know how to do that thing, still listen to their advice. You never know when you might learn a better way to do something. I have followed that advice and it has served me well.

I LOVE your tree!! I haven't had a Christmas Tree in 15 years because I'm not physically able to put it up and decorate it. I don't even have a tree or decorations anymore. I sure miss my tree. Brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. Christmas was always my favorite time of year. I know you have been through a lot with your health and I think you do an amazing job. God has surely blessed me through you, Chris and your channel. I hope you both have a wonderful Thanksgiving. My sister, her hubby and their granddaughter have the nasty infection that's going around so I'm asking for prayers from all who don't mind. Thank you and God bless you! 🙏❤

I'm diabetic so I can't have pecan pie but I do remember how good it tastes. Thanks for sharing Tammy. Loved the story about your nephew and the green beans. I have found over the years when someone says they don't like something if you get them to taste it they will change their mind even kids and they can be real picky about food. 🙂❤

I’m going to try this later today! I have PT this afternoon, and will try to make it after I get back! I had never thought about putting flour in a pecan pie, but that makes PERFECT sense!!!

Having baked pecan pie for over 50 years I have found in the last 20 now that I am 70 when it is better to chop the pecans into small pieces whether you put them in first or mix it with the syrup. The reason for this is as we grow older it becomes more difficult to chew large pecans and you will enjoy the pie much more having the piece is smaller so you’re not chomping down like a horse and big pieces of nut. I am going to try the molasses in my pie and I hope you try using smaller pieces it may not be as pretty as Martha Stewart pies but it’s certainly much nicer to eat Especially when she passed 40. I do enjoy your channel. Happy Thanksgiving

Hi Tammy! Your pecan pie sure brings back memories of my grandmother's pecan pies. She always used Golden Eagle syrup with a little spoonful of molasses and she always put the pecans in the pie shell and poured the filling mixture over the pecans. Oh, so rich!! Oh, so good!
