A Perfect Circle 3 Libras Live on Jay Leno (Reaction!) 

wow! I've never seen this before. What a voice! What a performance! Maynard reaffirms how great of a vocalist he is.

"Outsider" is great as well on Jay Leno

I saw APC live 3 times. And tool a few times and of course Puscifer a few times. It’s impressive how well MJK performs live in all 3. I’ve always enjoyed this video. Keep in mind this was before APC was big and well before Puscifer. And normally MJK was painted or shrouded in tool. And here he is in a jacket and knotted hair look. Just a humble dude singing his heart out hoping to not get too much personal attention.

Highly recommend the Judith performance on Conan…. Epic and hard to believe it aired on late night television considering billy howerdell yells “sake your god” right into the mic. Also the comments on the video are hilarious.

I remember watching this live! I happened to hear during a commercial break that Leno would have APC on that night, so I got to see Maynard live, which is so rare. I was so excited! Love that album and the performance was amazing

Maynord and I talked online during COVID and you hit the nail on the head, that was the best any band had duplicated live/vs. a studio since a Led Zepplin 1 off or some Beetles bs, I keep some memories stored of live vs. studio play is a very secret place!

Still my favorite song. Can never get tired of it. The part where he opens his eyes when he says "you don't see me" always gives me chills.

I love the hollow on letterman Maynard voice is flawless.

That's Danny Lohner on the bass (he played bass for NIN during the Downward Spiral - The Fragile era). And Paz Lenchantin (APC bassist) playing the violin (she plays with Pixies now).

Absolute favorite APC song. It came out in my earlier days and arrived in a time of my life that resonates... This damn song.

I loved watching bands I liked on T.V. growing up, I remember the night I watched this live.

Best live singer i have ever seen maynard is even better live people will never understand as a vocalist myself how incredible this guy is i don't even attempt to cover his songs nobody like this guy ever the way he layers his vocals and melodies its insane

For Tool Maynard normally likes to dress Provocative like wearing silly outfits or basically wearing nothing. Puscifer he genuinely likes to dress up as different characters on different albums. In A Perfect Circle he likes to wear a nice outfits with silly wigs. He has quite a collection of wigs at this point but he’s naturally bald.

Don't know if anyone has commented this yet but the violinist in the front is Paz the original bassist the guy stepping in to play bass for her is Danny lohner of nine inch nails touring band.

A perfect circle is one of my all time favorite bands. This performance was not one of his best, and it's still awesome. Try listening to the studio version... Goosebumps every time. The production value, the editing is so on point.

I have seen this a bunch of times. And maybe it’s just me but if you look at Maynard after he shakes jay Leno’s hand. He stares off camera at something and it gives me a vibe that he wasn’t happy about something.

Hello Sebs... Can you react to A Perfect Circle's " The Thirteenth Step" album / CD? ... a much more sad / depressing subject ... heroine / (and all the rest in that class of drugs) addiction. But in my opinion, it's even more musically interesting. Maynard does his one and only cover song ever on this CD, "The Nurse" as well (you'll understand once you listen to it in the context of the subject matter). Weak and Powerless... Gravity, and others are deeeeppp... You are one of the best / the best reaction stars on RU-vid... keep it up, the numbers will come in... Tony

I wouldn't say Maynard always has great looks with his hair ... It's just that he has a lot of wigs. The interesting thing is that the wigs are part of the character he plays. The look changes depending on the band he sings in, but only with APCs does he use very long wigs like this one.

Also Maynard has really bad stage fright if you pay attention he has his eyes close a lot of the times when he sings. It helps him with his performance he still has stage fright to this day he’s mentioned it a few times even in his 50s.
