I really like this interviewer, she's genuinely intrigued and has clearly done her homework too. Maynard and Billie seem quite comfortable with her. She's kinda silly at times, but then asks really intellectual questions. I thoroughly enjoyed this interview and found it very insightful.
I got to shake his hand, thank him and take a quick pic before they returned to their hotel after the show. He looked the same. I think he's an alien. A super nice one though. Like one trying to spread art and positivity and not want conflict. Not your typical alien trying to steal info, kill us or take over. 😂
Her name is Sook Yin lee. SHe's beautiful and bright. Most of the interviewers at Much Music in Canada and the women had way more intelligence and craftsmanship than the poptart , tabloid news MTV crap.
@@thepoomz I know I'm late to replying but I agree. She did a great job imo. Usually I cringe a lot at these interviews but some interviewers are cool and do their homework.
Im a huuuge Maynard fan, but this is just a Maynard interview with a few questions for Billy. I bet it gets old when APC interviews constantly center around Maynard and discuss Tool as if they are one band. I love Tool and I love APC almost equally and I feel APC as a band, not just because of Maynard but because of the music and lyrics and albums combined, is sooooo underrated. Very emotionally intense.
If you noticed when she asked about tool stuff.... He said not my fault someday..... Exactly what he said recently with new material... It's always been the rest of the band that takes forever not him.... That being said... New album will be out this year I believe
I thought the same man.. just imagine how many more Tool records there just might have been if the other guys worked at the rate Maynard does. I’m not saying that would have even been a good thing, but it is interesting to just think about what may have been. Dude is a musical machine though for real. Stoked to hear the new Puscifer record this year I think maybe? Thought I heard something bout that.
Wasn't really a name-drop. Just a matter of fact that he was their guitar tech in 1993, and happened to meet Maynard while Fishbone was opening for TooL.
or he is more comfortable talking in depth with female reporters, and rather talk about wine with the male reporters, probably because women are more open to suggesting positive questions. its kind of hard to forget how far maynard has gone with his music. so there are many questions to ask and few are already answered, or few questions left, and many answered, depends how much you know about maynards music.
lol - heard Judith start and was omg she played TOOL not APC - then I remembered it's just me, still stuck in time when I 1st heard Judith on the radio & was all YAY new TOOL! ;-p
it's funny, I don't think the interviewer was awkward at all. I think she was deeper than the subjects, I really don't want to hear from, actors, athletes, musicians, etc.I just want to watch them perform, a lot of times its disappointing to hear them speak,
Pretty sure they were acting that way because she got their names backwards lmao. Watch the video again knowing that lol... Love how Maynard (the actual maynard) laughs when she asks Billy at the end about more tool stuff lol
... are you sure you know what you're talking about ? Because I saw Billy laugh - understandably, since the lengthy "Tool-process" is one of the reasons APC even exists - when she asked Maynard about Tool, so... °_°
When was this filmed? The concert video was from the palace in detroit... I never knew they played there, I saw them in early 2001 at EMU convocation center, best concert ever.
yeah, with seeing this many interviews nowadays through you tube it seems almost all the interviewers don't understand what makes a good interview or what fans may want to hear. They do most of the talking and leading questions and then ask several at once where the artist can't even respond. Then with that mode created and such short time frames, fans think that the artists are uptight, arrogant, and or not in to talking. Time for a change?
Yeah just listen i like that, mer da noms, was very positive, clean your closet purge forgive wow, these guys are have a great attitude, 🤙🎭 can you imagine if they collaborated with Bjork ☺️🤣 BOOM Homogenic meets hi diddly do tofuct if i know, 🤣, Loved APC made me deviate from my norm 😔Thanks ✌️
And if you knew anything about TooL then you'd know Lataralus was released in 2001, if you watched she asked when there would be any TooL stuff and he replied "someday".
why are so many of the interviews of maynard for Much? does he have an affinity for canuck reporters or something..? or is this just a wrong impression that i have, and really he's done lots of interviews with MTV also..?
@@adsensedd Some people aren't very expressive and it isn't always a reflection of their character. Some people would just rather listen than talk and be expressive and that's okay. He's a musician and he pours emotion and his expression into that medium nearly every fucking day they're touring. It can get pretty exhausting.
