The lead figure looks like a "Bokkenrijder" as we call them in the Netherlands. It"s loosely translated as "Buckrider". Duiring the Middle Ages it was believed that people who had a pact with de devil (witches and wizards) rode on the backs of bucks during the night. Late in the 18th century the name "Bokkenrijders" was given to a group of thieves and robbers between 1740 and 1798 in 'de Landen van Overmaas' and 'Graafschap Loon'

36:00 I'd say a salt spoon. Mustard spoons normally have an oval wider bowl.

What a great day for you and the lads. Those Turners are outstanding, especially the one that shows some detail. That spoon is also very cool, I think it is a salt spoon, as salt was a bit of a rare item it was administered by small quantities by the wealthy, those of us who were below the salt weren't able to season our food (which were naught more than scraps that the Toffs didn't wish to eat). Well done, great finds. Btw, do ever find any good tatties you can take home on those fields? I know I've seen some wee ones, which I love deep frying, they're quite tasty.

At 21 minutes the coin is a George III halfpenny, 1770 - 1775, it is so thin because it is a non regal counterfeit

The item 42 minutes in is a toy pocket watch. Very unusual to find them with the glass face still intact.

Thanks for the video, really enjoyed it. Could the item you thought was a ratchet type thing at 8 minutes in, actually be a clog clasp. These clasp range from 14th to 18th century. A wee google for info could answer my question. Thanks again and I look forward to your next video.

I think the little figure on the lead looked like a Jester playing a guitar. It was on a goat. I think y’all saw a horn. Would that not be Medieval? rI love your channel and I live in Texas. Thanks for the history on your finds!

Twopenneth worth on the lead figure. Could be a clown or minstrel on a bear which was meant to represent circus characters in the days when bears were part of circus acts. Difficult to date I think, but lead toys were made right through 19th into 20th century.

The clock is most likely from a toy. I remember playing with a hand-down wooden garage (dated around 1930's) which had a glass-fronted clock on the front.

The figure in lead appeared to me to be a man wearing a hat with a feather attached or the hat was some kind of cloth with a ball at the point, BUT he appearing to be holding (or playing) some type of stringed instrument.

I am a new subscriber and detector from America. I wonder why you use such a short handled digging tool? I use, what we call, a "trenching shovel". It is about 6 inches wide and seems much easier to handle than your spade. Just curious. Enjoy your show very much. Thank you for making the history come alive with the explaining.

That little spoon to me looks like a religious thing. Used during baptism ritual in Catholic Churches. Could be wrong but it’s worth a research
