So great to see you using Navionics; I feel like part of me is along for the ride! Looking forward to your next installment (I'd like to see a bit more robust planning and checking weather conditions for your new boat operators). Stay safe, and congratulations on this fabulous adventure! Cheers, Capt. John McCalpin
Just subbed with the bell! Don't know you or have ever heard of you till 5 minutes ago. It just seemed like a cool thing to keep track of! I'm looking forward to your adventures! Have fun but be careful!
CC, Ha!!! What is the difference b/t tragedy and comedy? Tragedy is when it happens to me. Comedy is when it happens to you! I'm joking and hope everyone was ok. That baby was rockin' and rollin'. My highlight: Sarah lets out a scream. Rob looks down casually at his phone. Ha!!! Thank you for the upload!!! Happy cruising.
You need to start pushing when it gets rough.. sitting there with it ticking over in gear will just be make it roll about . Get it going along and use the throttles to smooth out the chop
All great advice, some of the crew just weren't up for it on day 1. That day turned us all into salty dogs pretty fast and now we're ready for anything!
You guys picked some super shitty weather to start out in. We had 50MPH gusts here on the Potomac for the last few days. One of the key skills to master is knowing when to go, and when not to. Weather does not care about your schedule in a small boat. Just sayin from some experience.
We were very disappointed with the day's coverage. The bay was against us but we're on the water right now working with mother nature instead of against her
