A quick look around the Angling Direct Cannock branch. 

Hi pal. I'll use angling direct sparingly when I really need to but I'll always stay local when possible. We have a great tackle shop here in Stafford, it's much better than the previous shops that all closed down. I'm hoping it will succeed long term. Tight lines pal Steve.

I use AD online a fair bit. I have two local angling stores. One is focussed on carp and feeder, so stocks Fox, Nash, Preston and all the big names, but has very little stock and I rarely find the exact item I want. The other has a tiny bit of everything and rarely has the exact item I want in stock. Leaving aside the fact that both shops charge full rrp for everything, I get frustrated wasting time and petrol going to these shops, only to return with a third of what I went for (so have to order online anyway). Give me a local store that stocks what I need, or even just maintains up-to-date inventory on the website so that I can check before wasting petrol & time, and I’ll use it. Until then, AD get my business.

Hi pal. You've just summed up precisely why lots of smaller businesses can't compete with the likes of angling direct, price point isn't the only battle they face but maintaining a good product range and plenty of inventory is key. Bit of a bummer that mate. What did you think of the shop overall?

It was mate . Yeah I think the shop is a must mate . I’d have to travel all the way Birmingham Angling direct. So yeah love it .
