I’m sitting here in complete awe that our God wld even consider saving me! I think we take for granted just what a miraculous and amazing gift He’s given us!
I've been a Christian for 3 years (Today-Not long) and i don't think I'll ever hear the Cross of Christ, and God's sovereignty explained, shown and described more clearly than it has been done by John Piper here ( i don't have the words to sum up what i've been taught tonight). well not until i get to Heaven.. Before watching this video i prayed to God that He may open my eyes more to what the cross means, that he will replenish my gratitude and thankfulness for the cross, and how massive the picture of the cross is. i got more than i expected, i also got a massive slice of God's sovereignty too! it never came to mind about the cross of Jesus Christ and God's sovereignty would be in such a harmony with each other. I've read the books of Genesis, Acts and Romans, and never did those verses stand out the way John read and explained them. Such Wisdom! May God bless this man, John Piper :)
You've been chosen to hear it that way Champ. For those whom he predestined he foreknew to be conformed to the image of his son, that he might be the forst born among many brethren. Give all your desires to God, he knows your path far better than you do. Pick up your cross, & drag it gladly up that hill. God of power and light will be with you always Remember, Mercy not Sacrifice, & don't forget the definition of All Things. Love and Peace to you.
God's timing is perfect! I was struggling with my own inadequacies and have gotten to where I don't trust many teachers and through this message I realize that my sin, ALL OF THEM, no matter how I feel about my past are REALLY forgiven because of God's Sovereignty and his perfect righteousness in punishing Jesus for my sin, at the cross. I AM REDEEMED, and this message drives it home. Thank you pastor Piper for serving God and having a heart for His people. I pray now that the anointed words of this sermon reach many more whom are struggling with the same self-inadequacies. Amen!!!!!

I pray you a blessing of a continuing season of knowing Yeshua intimately more and more until that day..and remain in that love so that nothing can take His place in You.. “I know now why Can’t reach God because I am one the damned the non elect”. Breaks my heart I just read that in one of responses. I want to tell you with all my heart and in my spirit God Loves you. He loves you so much that He gave His only begotten Son to die so that WHOSEVER believes on Him should not perish but have everlasting life. He died for you. He loves you. God said He wishes no one to perish. This predestination from before time to heaven or hell. It is a stumbling block. It hurts people and it’s not God pleasing. Jesus died for “the Whole WORLD” as He said. Believe and experience the absolute beauty of His love. OH my Soul can not contain the LOVE of the Lord. BELIEVE
John Piper is just a little too charismatic for my taste... Human charisma is not a fruit of the Holy Spirit! Nevertheless I truly love this man of God who proclaims the word of God for the glory of God...
