I saw a clone on eBay and tried to report it twice they said it doesn’t go against their terms of service I contacted an eBay seller that had a bunch of medfords up for sale and asked him to report it with me he said eBay sux and won’t do anything about it.

In any survival situation you better hope your Medford knife is the real deal. I have 12 of them and will be a customer for life. Chinese knock offs are total and absolute trash, from a moral, practical and economic standpoint.

Also, get rid of any shipping breaks they get from US Mail (China is still considered a "transitional" country by the Universal Postal Union, so China enjoys a lower rate for sending mail to a developed nation like the US and, as a result, mail from China to the US costs less than Americans are charged by their own postal service for a comparable domestic delivery...time to end this sweet deal for China).
In the eyes of the mail system China is a developing country on par with African nations. That means us developed nations subsidize there shipping with inflated rates on our shipping. over simplified but its just another example of China bending the rules to there will. Buying domestic is more expensive but at least I can give my money to people who deserves it. Time to buy a companion for my Praetorian Scout.

Greg I don’t pretend to know how you feel but I understand what you saying. I really can’t afford a grail knife but if I could it would be a Medford. We all can’t support monetarily but we can support you morally and not buy China made immensely inferior knockoffs. I contemplated some time ago on buying a Medford “China fake” just to display. I’m ashamed for considering it after seeing this video. I debated to say anything since the video dropped but after the 2024 Presidential debate last night and hearing Trump on China I had to say something. Keep up the hard work and keep pushing those designs and innovations and motivating your team. In all of life’s ups and downs there is one thing a man will always have whether good or bad is his NAME. It’s up to that individual on what type of name that will be. Fakes are a shitty thing to deal with. But 99% of the people buying a fake would never buy the actual thing. When I 1st got I to knives I got tricked into buy a Cold Steel AD15 from China. When I realized it I bought the real thing and had it before the clone. The clone has been disabled. My 1st expensive knife was a Medford On-Belay and it will forever be part of my collection. I hope when I die 1 of my sons will keep it as part of the collection to pass on to grand kids. I have acquired a nice collection and hope my kids dont just sell them off after I pass. So China manufacturers are making great knives and others are just making pure shit. I will support original over sea companies but not the assholes creating clones. Hopefully are Government will work to put a stop on all cloned items.
I disagree. People that start with clones (like myself) usually end up getting the real thing later. I have Benchmades, Chris Reeves, ZTs, etc. in clones and I now have all real versions of the clones. I even OWN a Medford clone before I even knew what a Medford was. Now, I want a real one.
@ryansmock2717 Starting off in the hobby with clones and then advancing in the hobby is different. Alot of people go out of there way to buy cheap clones because they think the real knives are a waste of money. Glad you decided to support the real makers.
