An old friend of mine who is a divorce attorney shared this wisdom years ago. "Men are in love. Women are in business." I have never forgotten this.🔱

Thing is atleast 10-20 years ago they knew they had to bring SOMETHING to the table, whether it was looks, cooking/cleaning, motherhood, or loyalty. Nowadays they shame us for wanting all of that.

On the flip-side of the woman who was looking for a dad to her kids, My dad married a woman with two sons. She was primarily looking for financial stability insofar as her staying home and not having to work anymore outside of spending cash for herself. My dad wasn't looking to be a step-dad, he wanted to someone to cook and clean for him. They both made the mistake of being short-sighted and married each other anyway. Her sons got the short end of the stick because their mother was looking for someone to take care of her, and my dad was looking for the same. And her sons were a distant second priority. Not all women love their children first.

Attention is why my ex-wife left. She felt neglected because I spent half my time with the kids and our vacations felt like “family trips.” Now she’s overweight and living paycheck to paycheck wondering why no man will commit to her.

The number of women that lead with "financially independent" or just blatantly "rich" as a requirement for a "quality" in a partner is just disgusting. Given also that marriage is seen as disposable these days, and the sheer amount of women filing, and that divorce law is punitive to men - .... It follows that an impasse is being reached, marriage ia now not really a tenable proposition for a man, so the "ultimate commitment" correlated to money that these girls are seeking, thats disappearing as an option in todays society. I decided years ago that I would never provide for a woman who already has children. I am now happily married, but I would never have settled for a woman who had children from her prior relationship(s).

This reminds me a bit of "The 5 Love Languages". I read that book (it's a super quick read) and it immediately became obvious to me that 1) If her love language is "gifts" or "acts of service", run! She's a broken person, your life with her will be miserable.

This the way they build this echo chamber of dating rules and male conduct they expect which bears no connection to how men are. It makes them very susceptible to social media stories repeated by their friends. I've also dated women who have a truly warped reality of struggles with their own families and friends. I have no idea how they could make sense of the real world.

She will never love you. Men experience love. Women issue requirements. When you are no longer the toughest, richest, tallest guy she knows, it's over.

Also I would add about single mothers: (I have no hate or despise about them, two of my family members are them and I have close friends who were raised by SM or single fathers). The problem that you not only have to love her kids, becase many men are actually perfectly ok with it. The way more severe problem that very freqient that in that situation you got responsibility without usual athtority. So you pay for them, spend time with them, feed, bring back home from school, sports clubs, hospital etc, But when you want to critisize or even slightly correct some negative or bad behaviour "Don't talk with my kids like that!" Yeah, they are suddenly her kids again (which is true). So for men who actually are ready to fill theae shoes - remember: You not only need to chose good and loving women, but also women who understands this as you can't have any major responsibilitu without any athority and step dad's opinion should be heard and respected if you want noticeable contribution. Also it is harder if kids are older, becasuse they would not give a damn as you are not my real father, get lost. Especially if woman herself undermining your athoroty. So, yeah, it is tough. I personally strugle to remember any good stories when people got remaried while kids were little. I know sucsesful stories when kids grew up and then people happily remarried. So yeah, that is why if you consider to have kids it is probably untill they are adults (unless there abuse or something major and messed up is happening and divorce is 100% better than any alternatives).

Why didn't you go into the "5 love languages" ? It explains this a lot better. There are many ways people express their love or feel loved, and these are the 5 main ones: Acts of Service (household chores, cooking a meal, bringing a meal to bed), Receiving Gifts (gold diggers might just feel this one more than most people), Quality Time (attention, doing activities together), Words of Affirmation (giving/receiving compliments), Physical Touch (sex).

That second woman literally has nothing to offer. NOTHING.

Fellas, I've been widowed for 7 years now; I was married for 20. I realized before I got married that marriage is not about love. It's a business relationship. I loved my partner, but I was not "in love" with her. Think about it: love is a relatively modern construct that came from the simps of the middle ages. Historically, people did not marry for "love," and it's only relatively recently that we've seen the "end" of arranged marriages. Hell, I had a friend who was born in Hong Kong, but grew up in NYC. We were going to school together in the '80s, and one day, he springs this on me: "The bride that my parents picked out for me is going to be arriving soon." And so she did. She was a sweet, reasonably attractive, very traditional Chinese girl, who didn't speak a lick of English. The 1980s, y'all. In America.

When Covid hit the attention I got from women increased by quite a margin. Probably like the rise of the "lipstick index" .

In one episode a teen girl got a brand new BMW car for her 16th birthday but because it wasn't the convertible version she asked for she cried all day yelling "my dad doesn't love me", "I hate my dad" ruining the party. I loved the smirk on dad's face that convinced me he was teaching her a lesson in front of a big audience.

A definition of love... Interesting question. Love is like having a home in another person, like an emotionally safe space. Love is about bounding and commitment and of course also about attraction. It's about having a similar view on important things and being still two different persons with individually skills, hobbys and charakter etc. Love is about being good and worthy simply as you are, with all your good, but also with all your bad sides. If your partner is critizising you, for little things, you did'nt do the perfect way, it's feeling like not beeing loved. If your partner is taking you for granted and is to lazy to embrace you or making some compliments, it also feels like not being loved.

Going on 29 yrs old, and I've never had a girlfriend. I don't want the baggage. I want a simple life free of emotional entanglements or cost-prohibitive risk along the same lines. They aren't loyal, they've been ran through, and they all get cancer that will bankrupt me into the stone age. To hell with them.

I've been in serious relationships with women and they weren't expecting the best of things. Sometimes their taste is lesser than mine in things, but they still emphasize in me doing more financially to bring security. I understand paying the bills and saving money, but what I did was never enough. I had a girlfriend who did this and she looked up so much to her brother-in-law. However, her sister married to him was always anxious about money though he made $60,000 a year in the Southeast USA and he worked from home while she was just a stay at home mom. He worked at home and he would be the one to tell his wife to get out of the house to whine down. And yet he is doing major work for the city while working at home with kids around. Sounds like he needs the time away.Turns out he has so many stomach ulcers. What a hell!!

To be honest, I think that too much is being read into it. One of the best pieces of dating advice I ever got is ignore what a woman says and look at what she does. It is one thing to post videos saying how you want a man who will lavish you with money and expensive gifts, but if she had a man in her life willing to do that I doubt she would be posting videos online. I think all they are either deluded and generally believe what they are saying but either spend every night alone or getting fooled by guys posing in front of a sports car they don't own, or they are posting it because they crave attention (either positive and negative) and they know people will argue with them. Either way, the best thing to do is ignore them

I believe that in all countries there will be a portion of the manosphere that remains in the superficial content and another that goes deep into everything to understand how we got to this point, which many believe, and there are many signs of this, there is no going back, and the solution is to close this cycle and move on to the next one, and avoid the same mistakes in the next one.

History lecture time: So, here in the United States, one of our Founding Fathers, John Adams, and his wife Abigail were separated for FIVE years, and yet they're still regarded as one of the most compatible couples and had six children. They never cheated in each other. I would be surprised to see this kind of couple in our modern society.

I'm an unattractive man. I'm 37, I have a successful career, university degree, I'm in good physical shape (muscular), I work hard and have my own house and car, I pay a mortgage. But I'm wondering if there is any point in continuing with all that, i.e. a stressful career and mortgage especially, when procreation is not on the cards. I know I'm unattractive as I get no indication whatsoever from women that there is any attraction there, any woman I ask out either says she already has a boyfriend or that she doesn't look at me in a romantic way. I'm just wondering if there are any other men in this situation, i.e. who have been struggling to be successful in life and would like to get married and have a family, but have come to the realization it's not on the cards, and what they've decided to do instead with their lives.

It's pretty uncomplicated. Take her out on a date, even if it's for one drink (which is of course preferable), observe how she treats the waiters and waitresses. That's how she will treat you.

Also since women are emotional, they sometimes need emotional responses from men or they don't feel loved. Even if those emotions are negative like fear and anger, they will take whatever emotions they can get out of a man. Some women will push a man's buttons just to make him angry because that may be all the emotions they can get out of their man.

The absolute INSANITY that her perception of reality is that she exists to take things from men, and that is her purpose. The subtext of this (which I have experienced in my own life) is that those men should be ABSOLUTELY FINE with that expectation and giving her everything she wants for nothing in return. This is the point of the book The Five Love Languages. It's a question of epistemology - how do we know what we know? If I think that I am loved, what is the evidence for that - how do I know? For those that are curious, the five love languages are: Giving gifts, words of affirmation, time and attention, physical touch, acts of service.

Good take away on suggesting to share thoughts and views on love before going on dates.

In my estimation, women want the appearance of wealth at the very least, so they can show to their frenemies in order to gain status. Having access to a lot of money and things AND showing them off is a way for them to elevate themselves over other women. I married for true love and not money. Gifts does not equal love.
