A Retro-Inspired Timex with an Interesting Pop of Color - Timex Q Diver 

My first watch as a kid was a Timex. Glad to see them still making good, affordable watches.

Just got a Q today (the pepsi version though). What a coincidence! Great video. I'm in love with this little guy, it reminds us that watches aren't always about the specs. They got the sizing, design and heritage all right! It actually is the watch that got me back into wearing a "regular" watch. I was wearing smarwatches for a while and when I saw the Q two years ago (when they launched) I just loved it. It is the reason why I started watching videos and reading stuff about watches, and it got my into this hobby. Never bought one until today, cause at that time I realized that there were much better watches (specs-wise) at that price and I went through the "mechanical/automatic only phase" that most of us go through when starting. With time, I started to appreciate quartz as well, and today I just bought it. Should have done it two years ago. But hey, it is here!

So if black/red = Coke and blue/red = Pepsi, does yellow/green (lemon/lime) = Sprite?

Great video. Timex will always have a spot in my collection. I'm currently sporting my Orient FUNG 2005D quartz pilot version piece. Under $100 and crazy accurate. Love me some Orients.

Wow....I love it and I'm not sure why lol. That bezel is just wild.

I am able to quick set the day and date. In the same position, go forward for the date and backward for the day.

Not my favourite variation of the Q rival series, but still a cool watch for sure. And its great to see Timex making changes and improving based on feedback. Very well put together review as always.

i now prefer quartz watch over automatic watch. i rarely wear my automatic watches. i wear my timex everyday.

I bought this today cause I wanted a old vintage vibe to stat my collection before I get a seiko Tiffany blue and a cartier santos.

I own a Q Timex (Pepsi) and a Q Timex GMT (Batman). Both have a problem with the crown and movement. When I push in the crown, after taking advantage of the hacking feature and having set the time precisely, the minute hand jumps, either forward or backward, by maybe as much as two minutes. This makes setting a reliable time very difficult. Actually almost impossible. I am not alone in this. While no RU-vid video review of the watches seems to mention this, I have read the same complaint in in other online reviews and comments. These are beautiful pieces, but setting the time on them is maddening.

What if I can get this for $80, should I go for it? I tried to imrport Seiko 79k from Amazon US to India and its around $200 but this one even though is different and Quartz it's one third of price of that watch, I am confused should I go for it.

With all the technical advancements and fine adjustments, you think they could get the second hand to hit the markers.

Really love the looks of it & I would get it if the specs were better, but have to pass. If it was larger case maybe 40-41, better movement & the date adjust would honestly just piss me off lol

Colours don't pop, balloons and bubbles pop. Just sayin' :) Anyhow, loving these Timex retro pieces - just can't decide which colour to choose!

Love the look of this, I have the Pepsi version. TERRIBLE movement, minute hand jumps with crown pushes, can't change the day quickly, only date. Just not a great movement for what they are asking price wise honestly, wish it would have had something like an NH35 or similar at the $200 price point.

I just don't understand why Timex insists in using the red seconds hand on all colourways! I mean, it doesn't look good on most of them, imo.

Mmmm wow wee. Do we get some nice brushing on a pubic hairs width down the side of the case. I am glad we wont get a normal, satisfactory, audible "clicky bezel". I certainly am glad you wont be getting the quirks that you get from other watches that are ripping you off with their horrible, victorian, mechanical movements. Mmmm toolex. 😁
