I am getting one for my 2024 Suzuki GSX R1000R...I love the boike but when you have clip on handle bars and you ride it a while you hand gets sore this will keep some wrist and thumb saving so when I can have fun I can enjoy it and cruise when i want to put put and not be always wanting to go warp 9.
This seems perfect. It's a nice way to uncramp your throttle hand! I wish it was cheaper but it seems to be of very high quality. I've tried a cheap one from ebay and it didn't work well at all
I never thought I'd want a cruise control/throttle lock, until I bought a FJR1300 with an Atlas fitted. Works brilliantly, the ability to easily adjust speed and is very quick to release.
Excellent. I'd seen this on another channel's video but they didn't say much about it. The one question I had was... "Define 'lock' 🤔..." (I guess that isn't really a 'question'😅). Thank you for the clarification. This alleviates my concern. I'm going to get one for my Rebel. Every time I get on the highway I think about these things.
I bought this for my TS660 but it doesn't have a large enough diameter opening for mounting to my throttle base. There seems to be no way I can engage the ratchet teeth. I tried it on my wife's MT-03 and could mount it in a matter of minutes because the ratchet clicks into place MUCH easier than on the larger diameter throttle on the TS660. I am thinking I have to modify the device with a file to allow it to fit the bike I intended on mounting it on. I am disappointed
the danger i can see here is that with a normal throttle, if you do emergency braking, you let go of the throttle and brake. in this case, you would need to roll the throttle off then brake. that fraction of a second matters.
@@briansmith3011this makes sense. In a true “emergency” stop, engine braking is not a priority or even relevant. I don’t like pulling in the clutch unless I’m coming to a stop, though. If you pull the clutch in you lose all power to the wheel. Some emergency stops could require you to maneuver also. I think I would only use this if there were hardly any cars on the road around me. Certainly not with even light traffic as people are constantly tapping their brakes since they all ride way too close to the car in front of them. Definitely getting one of these for my trident 660. I have a 60 mile commute each way and I definitely feel my right hand needs a break sometimes, especially after a hard day of work.
@VectorBurnOfficial no it isn't, the factory that atlas has these made, are in China, China doesn't care about copyright law, I have 3 of these locks, 2 temu, and 1 atlas, they are identical in packaging, construction, and rubber markings, only difference is the sublimated logo on the atlas. Don't waste your money, buy the temu lock... it's built in the same factory
So… you would support a “slimy” rip-off company to get cheaper innovative solutions rather than paying more for the research and development… I suspect you are not hurting for disposable cash (tho that may be an incorrect assumption) but your mindset is cheaper is better….. Myself, I am on the fence regarding throttle locks, but after reading reviews of the Temu/Amazon knockoffs, I would rather have Atlas support if I run into an issue. Additionally I support R&D. All that said- not sure if I will be going down the throttle loch road yet…
