Thank you for taking us for a tour. We used to do it 30 odd years ago when our EU family used to visit, now they have moved on (ie died) and nobody visits any more so we stopped.

Joe, I had to search HIGH & LOW to find the song you played during the intro to the paddle-boarding. The “Song For Patch” by Waiting For Smith was truly lovely. I actually quite like much of the music you use to intro or fade out from various happenings throughout your vlogs. I wish you’d list them for us in the intro under the title where you put everyone’s contact info and such etc…? It would be both helpful, as well as respectful to the artists so we might better be able to purchase their music or support them at least by playing it through Spotify or other music streaming services. I’ve followed you since you and your buddies were just pranky late-teen kids who made everyday a goofy adventure. It’s a pleasure though to see you adulting now with Diane. I hope you take my advice on the music credit/references, and thank you for making such great content and sharing your adorable adventures with Diane for all of the world to enjoy. Sorry to hear about your laptop joe, I had the same problem on my work laptop n I had to get an engineer out to fix it 3 times n didn’t manage to get it working so in the end had to get it replaced, but if you don’t want to replace it you might be able to use it connected to a monitor but that’s not ideal really. Hope this helps a bit, sorry it’s not great news

If you haven’t already i would recommend going to Rottnest island and checking out the beaches there

I had a macbook pro ... and all of a sudden it did a similar thing. Took it to apple and got told the motherboard is dead, and would cost nearly $2k to fix it. So literally lost my laptop on the spot. Apparently the pro's are notorius for problems and they recommended I go back to the ole macbook air which I did, an all is right in the world again. So I feel your pain, but you will need to take it to apple *sad face*. Great to see you here in Aus btw!! I follow Zoe and Alfie aswell, it would be great to see them and ottie visit Aus with you guys some time. Enjoy the rest of your trip :)

With regards to your laptop have you tried a complete reset. I hope you have a back up system for all your files

Check out Louis Rossman's YT video "Macbook screen DIES when opening lid: Apple provides NO FIX! flexgate". it seems related to the issue you are having.

buy a HDMI converter for the mac and use the broken laptop on another screen! love the vlogs

My laptop did this same thing last year, the screen and my keyboard ended up being a recall. Glad it was free but they had to give me basically a new laptop. And be careful cause eventually the entire screen just won't work, no matter how open or closed it is :(

You could try plugging it into a TV using a HDMI cable and then at least you can use the TV as the monitor...
