💀 dying. 100% accurate. It's like for every gem/useful bit of information you find on LR, you get 10 times more garbage. The disdain for trail running (or basically any ultra running) is real on there. That being said I definitely read all nearly all of the thread about Mike Rossi like I was watching the latest Bachelorette

On god bro. Like according to letsrun, if you can't run: 4 minute mile Sub 2 minute 800m 21 second 200m 11 second 100m 16 minute 5k 30 minute 10k Sub 4 minute 1500m And average 90 mpw You're either a kid under 10 years old. A man over 60, overweight, a complete beginner, or a girl under 14, or a hobby jogger. Its never anyone who loves running and has been doing it for years but can't get good just looking for some motivation and wants advice.

Any serious runner should be able to break 15:00 with moderate running (10-15 mpw) after 4 months.

According to some of these blow hards on Let's Run, 5k and 10k are "middle distance" races. I also saw that incorrectly stated on an oft-quoted running expert's website, too. There are really only two runner experts out there you should listen to. Kipchoge, and Serious Runner.

Seriously, a 2:20 marathon is a hobby jogger time. Put on some carbon fibre shoes and anyone can easily break 2:10. 😤

I have been running marathons since 2017 and like any “serious runner” I researched all the running tips I can find online. I was hyped by the positivity you see in the running training websites, magazines and social media filled with encouragement and the many ways that you can improve as a runner. Then there was that dark moment when I stumbled upon Let’s Run. Thanks for making us laugh out of this!

My wife gets annoyed by your videos (probably because I watch them a lot). The other day when I spent nearly $200 on an outfit for a local half marathon I did, so that I'd look good in my podium photo for social media, she called me out on it. Without thought, I said to her "babe, relax, you can't put a price on epicness!" lmao I was really in the doghouse after that. You should make a "serious runner gets a girlfriend" episode.

Well-executed satire/commentary on the toxic and convoluted state of the running community? I never thought I'd see the day. It's funny because forcing the site to be registered users only *alone* would objectively make the website 10x cleaner/easier to manage, even if you have the occasional /fit/ troll or bored boomer shitposting around. A while ago I emailed wejo and asked him why there are homophobic, transphobic and misogynistic threads allowed yet a certain semi popular RU-vidr can’t be mentioned without it being shut down. He just said they are too hard to moderate the non-running threads. Yeah I couldn’t figure out how that made sense.
