I wish my son would have called me, I wish my son would have come home. But he didn't. Listen to this man. He is wise. Whatever you do don't quit... My son quit... He was in Alaska. He had a great job he had money in the bank he had everything going for him he was 31 years old. And he took his life 5 years ago in August 17th 2017... it's a living hell for the family to deal with on a daily. Holidays are horrible... Contact your mom and dad if you get in trouble give them a call. Don't sit in silence. Reach out to someone. My son didn't realize how many people loved and cared about him. He's gone forever. Depression is a liar. Depression tells you that no one cares. Don't let depression lie to you. Don't quit because every storm that you go through in life makes you a stronger wiser individual... Get up in the morning and put your armor on. And when Life starts throwing arrows. You will be able to withstand them. You will come out stronger than ever. Don't quit. Don't ever do it. I miss my Son 💔😭 so MUCH.👣🌄🌻🍁🌿🌏❣️

Depression doesn't lie. It changes you, alters the way you think. To a depressed person their thoughts are as logical as laws of nature, and that's the scariest thing I've ever felt. To know with your mind that people care for you and love you, but not being able to feel and acknowledge that with your heart and soul is hard. But as long as you keep yourself strong mentally and physically, you can live with it, and perhaps it'll get better eventually. Hope is strong, hope is what saves you in the darkest hour.

The people who are unsupportive mostly I think they don't have any of their dreams fulfilled so they can't give genuine emotional support because they don't know what it's like to fulfill their life's mission. They are stuck in negative and morose thinking. But most people are like that, and anyone who makes an effort like yourself are very courageous for braving that storm. Some people might even look on at you with like someone else said with jealousy, or resentment because they bought into lies why they cannot make their life better. Those people would rather tear other people down who are become successful so that they don't have to look at you and to feel the disparity between them and yourself.

Thank you Dwayne, I hope you realize just how much of a help and blessing you are. I'm 42, husband & father of 5 and have recently been diagnosed with lymphoma. I had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home and was Saved at a young age. I live near a few costal churches and the fishermen in them have seen some terrible storms while at sea, some have lost their lives to them. My father flew for the RAF and conducted many search and rescue sorties for those in peril on the sea. Hearing those men sing the hymn "Will your anchor hold" when you know they've been through storms physically, mentally and spiritually is a moving experience. This storm that I'm heading into isn't of my making but I take comfort that I can call out to the master of the storm and find solace in the chorus of that same hymn "We have an anchor that keeps the Soul steadfast and sure while the billows roll; fastened to the Rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Saviour's love. I pray that God will bless you, your good lady wife, your viewers and help you in this work that you undertaken.

Very moving. We Will pray with conviction and claim your 100% deliverance. The health concern you have is not yours. Give it back to satan. Invoke the Holy spirit through Christ to drive satans sicness back where it belongs. IT IS NOT YOURS! I would suggest if you are saying " I have lymphoma" just say "Ive been healed". You HAVE. Know it. Say it. Let no one say otherwise. Miracles are REAL. They are being performed all over the world. Not fancy churches, necessarily, but by people just like you. Fully trusting and strong Christ followers/believers. Let no one speak of anything but your complete deliverance. Even doctors. There is no room for doubters or miserable comforters. Christ raised the dead. Greater is he, Christ, that is in you than he, satan, that is in the world. Stopping to pray NOW, Love you. Doug Rock

Thank you for talking about family today. I rented an apartment with a good childhood friend. So we could afford to move out, and all the fun things we both enjoyed. We take care of the tasks we both feel need to get done, because we respect each other. My dad and younger brother both had to bum the couch the last 2 years though. I've been very bitter about it, I never show it though to them. Because they are safe, I love them even in bitterness. You healed me when you talked about the Pride(the good kind) of returning home to loved ones. I was pretty immature, and frankly. I understand where some of my self hatred stems from now. That bitterness is the words of others, who kept saying I should kick them out. They don't have anywhere else to go. I can feel the love of their trust in me more clearly now, I have on some level a renewed strength in me. More room to move. So thank you sir.

That was when my son was five years old. I didn't want him subjected to that nonsense. We are blessed to live in a part of the country where men are respected and women are given the same opportunities as men. That being said, Men, don't give up. Although, I would like to add that some of the more inspired mindsets and dawning of realizations for me, has come from a man four years younger than I. Do not let pride and a systemic notion that "older is always wiser" stifle you, from receiving that which you need, from someone who has learned more from you, in a shorter span of life. Hey dewayne thanks for the chat. I like the analogy of the Buffalo in the storm. From what I understand they will head directly into the storm. Of course they will get hit hard with the front but they will also be out the other side sooner. Like your suggestion about steering the boat into the storm. Be like a buffalo!

A couple years ago I took a group of guys out fishing. We had caught a limit of red snapper and could see a storm coming. We pulled up anchor and headed for the bay . We where almost there when we heard a mayday call. Got the guys GPS number and punched it in turned around and went straight back out 10 miles into terrible seas. Luckily we where going into the waves. Coastguard tried to get me not to go. Took two hours to go ten miles. Found three guys hanging onto the bottom of capsized boat. Boy they where happy to see us. I was orphaned at age 12. Never made much money. Drive tractor s for fifty years planting , plowing and harvesting. Saved a little money bought an old boat fixed it up. I have been an alcoholic and quit drinking. Been through a lot of hard times. Yet you just got to get through the storm . These guys where looking for a helicopter but got saved by an old farmer. I am 68 years old still working on a farm everyday cause I can't afford to quit. Just keep going into the storm I love it.

Sir I don't say much on most videos but I think that this is a brilliant way of thinking! You are top notch one of the most wise men that I have ever came across. And I am not here to stroke your ego, I really mean it. Very few have ever got that compliment because I don't say it often. However after watching you for a little while I think that you are one of the best with wisdom. Thanks for doing these videos because they are important! GOD bless

This right here, is what our young people should be viewing as role models. As a guy who didn't have a strong relationship with my dad (or any other male figure) I am finding your videos to be so very much insightful and full of wisdom. I've seen several of your videos and have enjoyed every one of them but this one hit harder. I am most certainly not at the giving up point in any way whatsoever, but the last few years have been rough. Having kids in and out of school during COVID, less socializing, dad passed away, major career change, and a divorce with 2 young kids involved. All of this literally in the last 3 years. Some days are good, some not so much. Sometimes I wonder if this is just my new normal. But when I look back I can say that things have gotten better, however at a very slow pace, but better overall. It helps to stop thinking so much of the past, which we cannot change, and also not think too much about the future, which has not yet arrived. Staying in the moment and appreciating what you have (rather than dwelling on what you don't have or how you think things ought to be) helps a lot. Be like water and go with the flow of life, don't resist obstacles/hardships, find ways to go around or over and continue on your journey. Love you guys! Hang in there!

I just found your channel and I want to thank you for your message. You know when the pandemic started, I felt helpless, I felt there wasn't much I could do, but the one thing it did do, was it drove me and my family out camping, like I used to do with my step dad and mom. I also took up hunting and fishing again like I did when I was younger. In the quiet of the woods one day, I noticed I started feeling better about myself and my situation. I then went back to church again and joined the Knights of Columbus, because I felt better and I thought maybe I could help others to feel better. I went to the soup kitchen to help out, and I found myself listening to a homeless man's story. Of all the things in the world he could want, he wanted someone to listen to him, so I did. Each time I went back, I kept listening to him. I let him talk, he got better each time I went back. He now lives in the village where other homeless people are rehabbing. I like to think my listening to his story each time I go helped him.

Another great discussion, Dewayne. In the teaching world, we're experiencing turnover rates never before seen. I have colleagues who have been placed under such extreme stress that they've put themselves in the hospital. I've personally experienced major health problems as well. Our storm has turned into a hurricane, and the onset of "burnout" is so high and so fast that many are isolating themselves from their support system (their colleagues and families). It's preventing us from helping the other boats (teachers). As far as the storm, we've got post-pandemic ed. policy, and the lack of social-emotional growth affected kids are displaying. We are seeing policies and behaviors that feed off each other to exponentially worsen the conditions. As far as helping the boats, our admins are supposed to be our support system...but are instead poking holes in the hull while all the teachers as colleagues frantically bail water. The result, teachers are grabbing their life vests and making for the shore. A great analogy Dewayne, hopefully the storm doesn't last much longer for us.

I'm not even in to horses and somehow came across this channel, the wisdom and advice will keep me coming back. More and more young men seem to be confused and disgruntled today with all this nonsense going on. I have noticed a lot of men today are being raised in single households and think that has something to do with it. I suspect there is a lack of masculine roll models in majority of American homes today because of a combination of things, a lack of accountability and government incentivization of divorce with masculinity being labeled as toxic as well. It was refreshing to find your channel, I think you are helping a lot of young men including myself keep moving forward through the storm.

No-matter the topic, there's just something about your videos that compels a person to, not only ask themselves questions, but to, take the time to answer them... Honestly. Your calm demeanor digs in to the soul. It's extremely healing. This is making me cry so much. I'd think that with the cards I was dealt, I would be able to succeed in life. Be someone that is more productive and respected, but that just isn't the case. Life is a map that you can't figure out. You may think you're in Oklahoma, when you're really in Missisippi. Lately, I've just been stuck. Think the wall that this man had talked about has finally approached me at 27. Making me think about where I'm going. Is my boat able to overcome the waves that are brewing. Can I become someone that is valuable to not only others, but myself? Truth be told, I've never valued myself. And this man has helped me realize that I need to value my own boat instead of looking at everyone elses. We are all different individuals. So thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

I’ve grew up and a stable household and never had any “bad” struggles growing up but I feel like I missed this portion in my life of learning what it is to be a man. 6 months sober. I would say that a lot of people need to look at their vices. Mine was alcohol and cigarettes, and I’ve dabbled in drugs, smoked weed for years, but alcohol was my main thing. My life is quite literally 100 times better now I’m sober. And I truly never thought I could do what I’ve done. Now I know that not everyone has a problem with vices etc. But a fair few people have, my message is to them I guess. Working out has also helped. I’m 33, and I guess it was just my time to grow up and be an adult. I’ve got a lot of ways to go, but I’m trying to change things. Big respect to everyone going through some shit. I didn’t realise that life was gonna be this hard when I was younger. But life really is hard as fuck for most people. Big respect to my fellow man!
