More histories, please! My take on this is to see how design management, as adopted in British architecture in 1963, has influenced project management, which of course has always influenced business. And how the UK Government introduced a five-step contract procurement process into the H.M Treasuries Gateway programmes. That's now aligned with the eight stage design management frameworks most typically used in construction, but I don't really know how to find out more about it. An archaeology of documents!
Unfortunately, I am not a historian either. Researching the details of now-defunct frameworks is not what I am good at. So, this overview is likely to be my only historical video for a while. If I can think of another wide-interest historical topic, then maybe. Otherwise, this summary is my historical gift to the community.

In fact, many national PM organizations are affiliated to IPMA. I doubt there will be any more consolidation and would argue that diversity is a good thing. Multiple perspectives and competition to provide the best services for members are good things.

@@Onlinepmcourses In 1995, he wrote a book called "The Wild Card of Design". In architecture and town planning, this was a critical question. You might design a building 'sculpturally', but you might also 'design' the outcomes of your project or locality. It had changed Project Management. It is also valuable in community engagement and social planning. Yet, few seem to have understood it. PS. if you look at modern Project Management outlines, many are just now starting to look like design-management frameworks. It has taken a long time.
@@jamesdecross1035 That's really interesting, thank you. It sounds like the idea is seminal, but is working its way into wider PM (outside of architecture and town planning) slowly. I think social Value will be a big consideration in Project Management in the coming years and I have a video about that topic in production for release later this month (July 2023).

I don't even know what country you are in Mohamed. So I will simply say: mostly in the cities, plenty in the towns, and some in the countryside. It all depends on what sort of clients and what sort of projects you are looking for. A big part of the learning we need to do (Yes, I had to do it) when we go freelance is the process of prospecting, marketing, and selling. I don't have the time for a structured answer to such a big question (it may make a good video for the second half of 2022) but, among the things you'll need to do is: - create a strong professional presence where you want to work (geographically and in the sector) and also online - find out what businesses are there and start to build contacts - network effectively - start making warm (if possible, cold if not) approaches to pitch your services - get good at proposal meetings/interviews The clients you need are where you are, or not far away. Get to know them and start a conversation.

@@MohamedPL777 Yes, of course you can work remotely. But finding the work will be a lot harder. You have to find the right opportunities. You'll need to look for recruitment sites that advertise roles in marketing for global organizations. When you find an opportunity, treat each one as a unique project and customize your resumé and application to that opportunity. Then, if you get to an interview, prepare carefully.
