Was waiting for the trail hand grip video. Looks Ike my trail hand has two problems: 1. Too far into the fingers, and 2. Palm not on top of club. Will tryout your grip and report back. Thanks for the grip lessons. Cheers.

I like the fact that you reiterate things in multiple videos. Watching this reminded me of the right hand as being the salt, buter and garlic...the taste of it. Finding and experimenting with the right hand grip to compliment the strong left hand... tweaking this helped me straighten the ball flight instead of the left flight. The compression difference is amazing! Still a work in progress and taking all my time and effort out to the course tomorrow. My expectations are high but also know i am trying to correct years of garbage. So glad I found you Stu... many thanks from all of us learning how to swing and have alot more fun out here.

i would think we would want the right palm pad at the base of the fingers on the back side of the grip in line with the clubface.

Hi Stuart. We see so many RU-vidrs advising that the crease between the right thumb and index finger should point roughly to the right jaw or shoulder. I feel that would put the hand more on the side of the club, and what you are showing here would lead to that crease pointing more to the left jaw. Would that be a good indication, or do you only rely on the sensation in the right palm setting on top? Thanks for your good advice (as always).

Looking closely in slo-mo with a zoom (3:17), the crease looks dead straight at your chin. Do you confirm from your point of view?

Hi There.. the crease really is irrelevant; it’s about the palm and the finger placement. Everyone’s hands are different in finger length and golf club grip size, so the crease is a very way of measuring. Hope that helps 😊

With a good top hand and a bottom hand like that, I always felt the clubface had a tendency to point left at impact and taking too much loft off. Would I have been overdoing that hand position or should I be looking elsewhere?

Hi Stu I have been using broom method for my backswing and it has improved me getting more on plane. I did get stuck on impact as started hitting behind the ball The feeling of laging the chest in dowswing with my left shoulder down has made the biggest improvement with my strike I have a home sim and my son is autistic and hooked on golf so this message is just a thank you as he copies my swing and I need to get it lined up for him

Stu, a question with the trail hand, is the crease between the pads sitting on top of the lead thumb, or is the thumb (pad of the trail hand) sitting on top of the lead hand, this has a big effect on the clubface, when i tried the second option i snaphooked everything until i felt a really light grip pressure, but i wonder what it is you preach, could not see clearly😅

@@GoodGolfCoachingAt 3:11 exactly, you say the crease on the trail hand goes on top of the shaft, but what you are showing looks like the crease is sittning on the side and the thumb muscle is sitting on top, i like to be specific and not do mistakes, because you are the only golf coach on RU-vid i am listning too😁

The crease of the right hand sits on top of the left hand. Club in fingers. Finger length and grip size will make it slightly different for all.

@@GoodGolfCoaching what i tought, do you feel like you make that crease before you put your hand om top or do you feel the pads squeeze together after you put the hand om top, i probably ha e weird hands, but the orientation of how i do it will effect the club to be either open or closed 😁
