@@danyelpeter1376usually they did deep down they noticed smth earlier even if they never admit it But u cant go off one instance either thats why kindergardens document the childs behaviour
@@medhavishah9711 Not that. She was clearly aware of the utterly horrible things he did, and she was genuinely shocked by them, while being herself the kind of person who is not easily shocked.
@luisitacomunica5856 ok, incest aside, consider being in love with someone else and then just forced to marry a stranger because your father demanded it, then her husband dies and her father tries to make her do it again to breed more children. She was broken
@@michelesmith7396 As bad as it sounds, that was nothing out of the ordinary. She grew up knowing it would happen. Any highborn woman knew. Not all of them turn out to be wicked evil bitches like Cersei.
In the show, yeah. In the books, they straight up wanted to kill each other their whole lives. Tyrion tried to poison her, Cersei tried to have him executed multiple times, etc. The only thing preventing fratricide was their mutual respect of Jaime
I really wish we got to see this empathetic side from Cersei just a little more, it reaaaally grounds her as a character compared to her usual fire and cutthroat nature. And the same thing with the scene with Cersei and Robert discussing their marriage and love for each other
Actually, weren't they fuscusding their marriage and hate for one another, yet with a tome of affection that two rivals who have endured Hell together can only understand?
Cersei showed no empathy to anyone except her children. And even then it was Very limited. Cereal was the way she was bcuz she was truly evil, just like her son. Just bcuz we see her cry, doesn't mean she was showing empathy.
@@mmo4754 Exactly. Her kids are a reflection of her own self-importance and inflated ego. So with Joeffrey dead that self-importance starts to fall apart.
this is my favorite interaction between these two characters. it tells so much with no words at all, the wall cersei built between her and her brother stopped him from comforting her. she’s so afraid of her prophecy coming true that it takes over every decision in her life
I felt bad for her in this scene. She loved joffrey so much but knew how evil and terrible he was, but her love for her son never faltered. And she knew if his father, jamie, was allowed to be his father, he probably wouldn't have been so awful.
If Robert were allowed to be his father he wouldn't have been so awful. Cersei never let him discipline Joffrey ur show him any disapproval of his cruelty to others.
Get over it already 🙄 Look what they did with the first coupla seasons. Expectations were simply too high. Who says GRRM ain‘t gonna f u the books‘ endings too?
Have they done a plastic surgery? Too many people in this world that will never forgive them. Have they said they are Sorry at least? Or and explanation?
@@candereggI think that's the main reason why he hasn't even finished writing the books. He was afraid of ruining the people's expectations just like how the final seasons in the show
Thought the books are better in many ways, there were a few show changes (in the first few seasons anyways) that I did like. One being Lena Heady’s perfect portrayal of Cersei. She still got the sly, vindictive Cersei from the books who thinks much too highly of herself down, but she balances it with much more human moments that make her feel fully developed. Honestly, all of the Lannisters are some of the, if not THE best actors in the series.
@@some_metalheadthat's ture, and Lena Heady is an amazing actress. But in books a lot of Jaime's character is built on Cersei's cold-heartedness and selfishness, and in show Jaime's arc falls short in that regard.
Was it bcz of the multiple rapes she endured? So she felt she had to put on an act/be overprotective of Joffrey. I don't like her character, she's pretty awful, but I wonder if that's the reason.
True but when you put up an act like that you can't keep it up forever. We can see her try to put it back on. It probably would hurt Cersei deep down realizing that her golden child that she raised as a reflection of her was the worst of the worst and a monster.
You can see that even though she treats him so badly, he still wants to comfort her, but he hesitates because he knows she'll reject and insult him. You can see she is aware of all of this and likely feels shame because he's in this position. She could have genuine comfort from her baby brother, which is something she needs in this moment but alas its not meant to be because of her own viciousness.
He was a GREAT character in that he was a great VILLAIN. He's terrible, everyone hates him, but not because the character is boring. Good characters can be bad.
Reminds me of my relationship with my stepmom. Would would have thesegreat little moments, then it's as if she compensated by dropping some sort of hate bomb on me.
It’s bizarre, despite the obvious hatred between the two characters, there was always bond there too. Both would try to deny it, but there are moments were they put their guards down with eachother and confide in one another. Even in season 7, Cersei has every reason to kill Tyrion, he is her enemy, the hand of the Queen trying to depose and kill her, he lists off all the reasons why she should and yet she can’t bring herself to do it. The only time she genuinely wanted to kill him was when she believed he killed Jofferey, yet once she found out who the real culprit was she reverted back to hating him yet unable to kill him. And although Tyrion admits his feelings of wanting to kill her, even though he hates all she had done, he also tries to protect her. The dynamic between these two is one of the most fascinating in the entire show.
Like your video. The way ya made it. Best show ever and I miss it. I watch HBO to watch it again . Mostly season 5 6 and 7. But I see season 2 3 and a bit. Plus own it on Blu ray. Waiting for this Jon snow show, or continue it would be better. Make up some good stories.
Belgium also was the most militant when it came to reparations. Problem was, Britain and eventually France lost the political will to enforce the treaty. Which to me, is the primary reason why Funny Mustache Man was able to wage war.
Cersi hated her brother so much that she forgot it was her father's sperm and her mother's egg that made that imp she hates so much he didn't ask to be born yet she turn her angered on him because their mother died giving birth but their had to be a moment before her brother was born were she saw her mother happy carrying a child it doesn't show on the show but I'm sure since she loved her mother so much she had to be happy at some point and yet from the point he was born she turn mad but not once did she blame her father for keeping him
Seeing her cry just hurts my heart, Cersei is truly misunderstood, Her father never valued her, Jamie wasn't even commited to her in the same way she was to him. She's endured so much suffering and betrayal and its unfair. And before any of the Bandwagon riders come after me, I implore you to actually think for yourself instead of jumping on what's popular as an opinion.
@@CerseisHusbandcould you at least be a decent prick and not be rude to others someone literally explained to you why cersei isn’t a “misunderstood” person like you say and instead of reading what someone wrote, once again, you decide to be a prick instead i wonder if you can even read properly
I disagree with her being loyal to Jamie. She cheated on him throughout the series and even wanted to marry Rhaegar before he was engaged to Elia Martell.
@@thomashensley7175 which is also true. She cheated with Lancel as well but she still loved Jamie and never discarded him. He was the one who betrayed her in the later seasons.
