I always love how sweet Gordon is to the servers (at least when they're doing their job right). He never takes it out on them when it's the kitchen that is messing up, like so many people do. The man really knows how the catering world operates, and I have so much respect for him for that. Dont scream at your wait staff when something is wrong.... they are the one who has to go back and deal with a probably highly stressed kitchen staff....how much effort they put into getting your problem fixed often depends on how you've spoken to them!

I love how Gordon is so amicable and gracious to wait staff, and so brutally honest and frank towards managers, owners, and chefs who think they're better than they are. Gordon directs his criticism and anger towards where it needs to go to make change happen, not towards employees who don't have power to change how things work. A member of wait staff has no control over the menu, cooking process, cleaning, or ingredients.
