You are wrong. The correct way of planting is placing the pointed side down and fat side up. The pointed side is where it roots while the flat side allows the stem to sprout. With this method it's about 5 /7 days to germinate. But if you disorientate it by plating it wrongly as you thought here it will take seed additional days to reorientate itself b4 it will start shooting up. Thanks

Ugwu must be an interesting plant to grow. If, after a few years of planting it with the method I posted, I still get an amazing result in less than 10 days with little to no loss ever since I started planting it.

Exactly mine starts germination in 4 to 7 days when pointed downward

@@anikefarms8078from your video, u could see how d planted started growing..... I have d screen shot... The pointed end is obviously where the root grows from.... You know what? Take a seed and plant it pointed end facing down.... Dig it out after like 4 to 5 days and observe it.... You will see it for yourself..... I think that way, we won't have to be talking so much on which part should face up or not

Exactly, how can you not be factual given that people are actually trying to get knowledge about this

I watched some video it said the pointed should be buried while the flat surface should be up
@anikefarms8078

That's wrong. The tip of the seed is where the plant will sprout out of. If you bury it, it will die.

Í planted my 102 seeds facing the pointed end downward they all germinated It's been my favorite method since

I think it Is the other way round. The tip is actually the root path, while the sprouting comes from the splitting up of the cuticles. Sometimes when you plant it wrong you still get some results because the sprouting turns towards the light(phototropism), provided it is not planted too deep. Otherwise you just kill it dead.

@@anikefarms8078the pointed part is where the root comes out from.... I've done this several times, in fact I excavated some seeds after planting let's say 5days after pointed part facing down...... And I could see roots growth already. The dicot slips open and the stem grows from there
