Karu, any input on if babolat pure aero is the right racquet for Trey? :) I think coming from the pro staff X it will take some time to get used to the new stick.

Been following this channel from day 1 and I gotta say, games 4 to 9 might have been the best tennis you've ever played! Keep it up Trey!

Jake, I’m not sure you’re aware which side is Trey’s backhand. “I need to hit to his backhand” hits next 25 shots to forehand & pretty much 100% of your serves 😂 Great match both of you!

Trey. Way to go man. You hit a purple patch there in the middle that brought a tear to my eye. You look like you're living the life brother.

Wow what a match! Trey I think your serve is probably one of the best I've seen from someone who has only played such a short time. Serve and return are the most important shots in the game, so you're well on the way to being 4.0 or 4.5 for sure. Also gotta say I really like the editing in this video, the short clips between games with an alternate angle really gave the video great timing and feel. Keep it up!

Sick editing bro. You gotta start forcing yourself to use your 2HBH more in matches though, lol. I made the same mistake in the past, relying way too much on slicing or running around the backhand because it gave me better short term results against players similar to me in skill, but it definitely harmed my long term development. Forcing myself to use it as much as possible in matches sucked at first and made me very error prone under pressure for a while but seriously paid off in the long run once I got used to it.

Paused it and yeah ball right on the line, that’s a bad hook especially on a game point. I’ve noticed tho people who are newer to tennis seem to do this a lot, I don’t know if it’s your eyes getting used to where the ball hits or what it is. But under 3 years of tennis I feel like 80% of people would call it out. When you’ve been playing more than 3 though you just gain a better sense where the lines are how a ball reacts to hitting a line etc.

Since you are on a racket journey yourself, could you also include what you are using yourself when asking the opponents about their racket/strings?

You have such fun content Trey! Loved the grass court. Enjoying your travelling to play. This might be your Sunday Set! The serve was just bombing off the racquet! You need to tell us about your current racquet journey. That's the Pure Aero 98? Saw you with the Ezone and a Vcore?

Out of the recent racquets, which are you feeling the most atm?
@markj6302
@markj6302 5 месяцев назад
serve is looking great. forehand struggled to keep it in but i think thats just an adjustment. i feel like that racquet might be giving you some more pop on the serve even. biggest weakness is your backhand. your server / forehand / volley could be amazing but how are you going to break a good player who can always just serve or hit it to your backhand? thats the key for you to figure out to make it to the next level IMO

If you're unfamiliar with a racquet and its giving you long the shots are yoo flat and required more top spin.

Trey you should try 100" control racket, (W blade 100, Y percept 100, B pure strike 100) choose one then compare it to your aero 100. Hopefully you find your racket sooner so your tennis will continue to develop at max speed. Aero23 is already at more controlled side, so you'll know if you need to pick one

@@gab_ale PSX is too heavy , not a beginner racket. PS 97 290 is even easier racket
@gab_ale
@gab_ale 5 месяцев назад
@@akbarberlian I like the Ezone 100 or 100L as a beginner racquet. I have been playing for a few decades, but I like it for those days when I am feeling low in energy and also want more spin than what my 95's or 98's can provide.

To the guy hitting, yes you're right about using your legs but don't bend so far down only to stand up even jump into the shot while you're swinging, Stay a bit lower and "transfer" your weight into the ball. If you just jump up it's not going to produce any power.

The way you hit makes the racket look like it's made out of cheap material frame for some reason. You really make it look like a piece of cheap racket.

Jake. You are a disgrace to Socal USTA. Lol. 4.0 losing to a lower level? What happened to directional control and controling the point? You are hitting up the middle like a 3.0 Trey has an obvious weakness for low junk. Also, target his backhand. Junk slice, come to the net and finish it. Another thing is Trey is a good server. Your return position need to be back 3 4 feet. What happened to your footwork? Zero split step. With younger players, your intensity needs to be up. He also runs around to his forehand. Deep shot to the corner. Then to the net or ground stroke it cross court. Trey. Good job on beating a pusher. You got him rattled. One doesn't need to hit it hard to your backhand. A moonball will work. If you run around to it, it's an easy pick to hit it cross court. I am quite surprised to see a 4.0 hit like Jake. Lol.
