I was 10 years old when this movie premiered. Olivia Hussey was exceptional at portraying emotion even at such a young age. She later played Mary in the movie Jesus Of Nazareth. Her ability to portray emotion and her aura of purity made her a natural choice for casting in both roles.
The artist name is Barratt Waugh one of the best opera tenors in the world. Went first listen to this song, I cry also , Any Williams, I love also sing this song, but Barratt took it to a new level, thank you Sarah for your response.
Sarah, this a really old tune, but it transcends time and is still beautiful! I loved watching your reaction to this! I'm 67 years old, but this song is still very powerful! Thank you for being always real, and always true to your heart! 🙂🙀
Olivia Hussey in the role of Juliet is still today well-known in Korea, I think it has to do with this role. In Sweden she is best known in the role of Rebecca in "Ivanhoe", which is shown on TV every New Years Day
Franco Zeffirelli è stato un grande regista molto accurato nei suoi lavori e con un eleganza ed uno stile unico che altri registi mai hanno avuto e mai avranno
The original, and the true Shakespear movie masterpiece. There's a love theme from a movie called "Love Story" that I'm sure will make an impact called "Where Do I Begin" by Andy Williams. It's a magnificent piece of music.
This movie was the 1st time I saw a play by Shakespeare. I was around 10 years old (1977). It's had such an impact on me that when a new Romeo and Juliet movie comes out, I'm always disappointed.
Here is something weird. We have Olivia Hussey, age 15, looking so pure and innocent in this movie. And yet, on the talk show circuit promoting the film, she is actually smoking during the interview. Amazing. It's on YT.
Wow I haven’t seen this movie in so long! Have you seen West Side Story? It is the story of Romeo and Juliet but the story takes place early 1960’s. It is about rival street gangs in New York City. The sound track from that is amazing too. (I prefer that version to the recent remake of West Side Story)
The first time I ever heard this song was from the Dream With Me album by Jackie Evancho when she was 11 years old. The tone, the pitch and the power from this young lady has no equal. The career that she has had for the last 13 years as well as the breadth of musical style that she has demonstrated over that career, there are no words! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7HQYTAmbDoo.html It would be fantastic if you could react to some of the live concert footage Performances from Jackie’s Dream With Me In Concert PBS Great Performances special. I know you will not be disappointed.
