I lost water coming from my pitless well. Your videos helped me with everything. My pump was dated 1992! After replacing it and no water still, I found out it was a bad underground wire from the house to the well casing. Anyways, thank you for the videos. It helped tremendously

Well, you guys do good work. Up here in MI, we had several years ago, a driller while on a job, blow the truck engine. They had to bring in a crane to pull the engine. The rig was stuck there for 2 weeks. Front bumper 5 foot in the air.

Everything is soooo different with that rig to what i used here in Sweden, when i was working for a drill company. 👍 We used a Nemek drill rig, on tracks, that is able to raise and tilt the mast in any direction. And with a 20 bar (290 psi) air compressor, powered with a CAT C13, just screaming wide open! (To be honest, that air compressor was too small.) But it makes me happy to see someone being proud of what they are doing! Good work, fellas!

I started working for a 3rd generation well driller who still had a couple cable machines, talked of a rope machine where you had to turn the rope every 3rd hit. And it was the farmers responsibility with his team of horses to move the rig to next job. A long way from the State of the art Chicago Pneumatic well drills we used. His brother used Ingersol rand drills. The CPs in my opinion were superior

@H2O Mechanic My suggestion is you guys invest in some pig mats to place under the hydraulic valves for the next six months at each drilling site until you find all the leaks. It'll help you find leaks faster while under load/working conditions.

Township ran city water but were able to keep our wells for laws etc. Went to have mine serviced because it wasn't working. Repair company said that because of a casing leak sand was washed into the well and is keeping the pump from being pulled up. How else can this be pulled out and restarted? Thanks so much JT

My house is built on a steep hill with flat 15 foot backyard which the well is located. My problem is water is running out of the well casing unless I am using water. Injecting air in the ground to cut a hole, air follows the spring & blows out the surrounding ground as it did here. Typically springs are surface water, & have bacteria.

41:10 in video. Your rig is missing something,, a piece of 14 inch or 20 inch schedule 80 pipe about 4 ft long.. normally gets pressed into the ground around the top of where you're drilling so that when you start your hole it doesn't blow out a 3 ft cavity.. I've seen well drilling videos and probably 22 different countries.. you're the first rig that doesn't use one of those. To direct the material coming out of your hole.. another thing that I would ask about. Most of the wells that you're drilling are in North Carolina.. but your main shop is 1 mile north on the North Carolina border, in Virginia on interstate 15,, the only reason I question that is because I live in Wisconsin. If a well driller would come over here from Minnesota. Or Michigan or Illinois.. the point that I am getting to is that if the well driller here in Wisconsin wants to come and drill a well depending on where it is they only needs like one permit.. a driller coming from a different state. Has to jump through a lot more hoops so that they know the ins and outs of what you can and can't do in this state.. so being that you're out of Virginia and you're doing jobs in North Carolina doesn't complicate the paperwork..
@h2omechanic
@h2omechanic 2 месяца назад
It's extremely complicated to abide by both state regulations and each different county has different rules. What your talking about is called a diverter, it's basically a T that carries away the well cuttings. In theory it would help, but it still can blow out. We've lifted the earth from 15-18ft deep in a 30ft circle before. It's scary & can flip a Machine over. Once the ground lifts, you must add water or slow penetration rate .

Spent 40 years in the offshore oil drill business. The last 20 years in deep and ultra deep water. Think about running 250' of 350#/ft 30" surface casing and not tagging the seabed until you run about 4500' for drillpipe. Other than that not much difference.

I have a question for anybody that could answer. Out of all the videos I’ve watched related to removing a well pump I don’t believe I’ve seen a pit less adapter with a seal. That appears to be what I’m dealing with and I’ve got the seal loose and can get the system to lift up about a foot and then it appears the seal is catching on the casing. Now this seal is 4ft down the casing. All the videos I’ve seen with a pit less adapter it’s about 4ft down the well with a well cap on top but no seal. Am I just missing something? Lol

About the copper adapter that broke, you put it back the same way as the first time. You're going to be back out there in another 18 months. Think real hard on this. You are the expert, you know there is going to be stress on this adapter and it's going to break again. Ask yourself why did I put that back together the same way next time. You could have put a couple unions in, or at least reinforced the connection. Sorry, that was not a good repair.
@chrislee5696
@chrislee5696 2 месяца назад
You forgot the part he asked the homeowner as in fixing it the right way, but the homeowner wanted back the same way it was before. So, this is going to be on the homeowner. Also, he said you taking 13 Gallons per minute down to about 8 Gallons per minute with the PEX pipe, which he was referring to the pressure that going to be created with going back the same way, that means he might have to be back out there. As he said while walking away, what can you do if the homeowner does not want it done the other way (right way). Also did not charge him for the fix.
