Today is a very special video and a first for the channel, I was welcomed to the Motorist to be shown around by RU-vid's very own Steph from @idriveaclassic The Motorist Hub in Sherburn In Elmet is by far the best car venue I have ever visited. From the food to the fit and finish of this gorgeous venue it is the perfect place to meet other like minded car enthusiasts. In this video I am taken for a personal guided tour of the new bodyshop, arnage restaurant, cafe, bar and also the workshop. This is totally brand new for 2022 and this is the first time people have been allowed in to the building to appreciate it.
Not only was I able to have a personal tour of this incredible venue it just so happened to be on the day they were running the event @HubNut Social. The cars on display were such an eclectic mix of cars it made the day so interesting. From 3 wheelers to Lamborghinis everything that could have showed up did and everyone was happy to chat and the atmosphere was electric, many thanks to @HubNut for hosting this, looking forward to the next one.
The team at the Motorist hub have created something quite special here and I would highly recommend anyone who has not been to make the journey. They will be offering in the next few weeks a full bodyshop that can complete anything from paint-less dent removal all the way up to a nut and bolt restoration, a workshop that can accommodate all cars from all makes and models for light repairs, servicing and again full restorations. This can all be done while you relax in their fantastic cafe, chill out on the balcony overlooking an endless variety and ever changing collection of cars that turn up daily.
So in summary what did I think to not only the tour of the Motorist but the venue as a whole I would say it is a very relaxed, luxury car social meeting place. It offers something for everyone, perfect for families or groups of friends. The fit and finish of the materials used in building this incredible venue defy anything I have seen before in a place to be used by all. Don't let the luxurious feel of the venue put you off bringing your standard or unloved car. The joy of the motorist is everyone is welcome and seeing a 16 year old battered Corsa next to a £1M Ferrari is a lovely thing to see, no prejudice just a shared passion for all things automotive.
