Started in 2021 during lockdown and owning my first ever Porsche I decided to give RU-vid a go, a few years later and many videos here we are. My channel started covering anything and everything car related with a main focus on affordable luxury cars but now I am aiming to create a more rounded car and lifestyle channel. Want to know how much it really costs to run a bargain Porsche or where is the best place to enjoy cars and coffee? Then hit that subscribe button and join me on what is going to be an awesome journey ahead.
If you are new to Joe Talks Cars, expect lots of great drives, breakdowns, issues and everything in between. Don’t forget to subscribe and hit the bell icon to turn on notifications so you don’t miss a video.

I drove a 911 for 6 laps round a race track outside Dublin. I had an established racing driver sitting beside me. I thought I was fast. However when he jumped into the drivers seat there was absolutly no comparison. No match for me at all!!!!
Here if you are an idiot driving on snow and ice with summer tires you get a 200$ fine for every tire and also loose your drivers license... Never drive on snow and ice with summer tires, and if you have to do that put on chains and drive slow (because the chains can not handle high speed).
I chuckle when I hear RU-vidrs state things like = "There are hundreds of thousands of petrol stations in UK", when they are disappearing gradually = I believe that there are approximately 8,000 petrol stations in UK. I've owned my VW e-Golf since April 24th 2018; have been to Hamburg and Northern Italy in it, and plan to return to Italy, then onto Greece in September 2024. There will always be challenges with new technologies. Man4England-and beyond!
Couldn’t decipher if you had fear for your life or for the lack of mechanical sympathy for the old girl getting an absolute thrashing. Obviously a completely different experience to watch compared to your lap which was pedestrian at best (sorry Joe), but the gear shift ferocity shows it was either full brake or full throttle all the way round apart from some mid bend sawing. Loved it.
Your hyper vigilance was holding you back on the autobahn just from the face shots shown. Not that I blame you. Car seems so different to mine in tipper format. That kick down. Interesting to see what it’s like on track.
Hahaha nice one man! Cayman S owner here, too! Did you put the aftermarket oil pan baffle to stop oil pressure loss / starvation at high G-force maneuvering ?
I just bought a MK6 last night, exact same spec, colour, and wheels as yours. I find these are more attractive than the MK7 and MK8. Volkswagen is asking a kings ransom for a MK8 lol
Honestly Joe I’ve absolutely loved all these Nurburgring videos. I appreciate all the time and effort you’ve put in to them and this one was brilliant. I think it’s very high praise what Misha said about your Cayman, he never mixes his words.
140 at points. I have a beep set on the car for 100 so that shows how hard he was going. On his video(coming out soon) he shows more views and the speed. I decided to make it a little different.
I’m so pleased for you that you got to ‘enjoy’ (yes we all loved watching your face 😂) your car being driven like that. It’s definitely satisfying to see how capable the platform is and how well it faired at 17 years old, plus how much more it can handle than you have been giving it. Asking someone like Misha to take it out is of course a risk, but then we all have to assess risks when we drive our own sports cars and if the life long memory and reward for a lap like that was worth the potential risk then it’s well worth it I’m sure and at least in your case it paid off. Something you’ll never forget 😊
Thank you! I was terrified for the risk of losing the car but 100% worth it. Totally unforgettable and to meet Misha was great too! Amazing guy and so kind,
This guys is a real p***sy why have a car this powerful then be petrified of it and opening it the way it’s meant to be driven. Somebody give this guy a push bike he clearly ain’t a man buying cars like this because your willy is probably tiny
If you want to do this kind of thing, fine. But it's poor advice to suggest other people should give their cars to Misha. He pushes cars very hard, often doesn't leave much margin and crashes regularly. That's not to criticise his ability, it's just a reality if you're pushing that hard, things are going to go wrong. I wouldn't let him near my cars. Again, I'm not criticising his ability, it's his MO that's the problem as a car owner.
@@thecraiglett1 It's not a lie. He crashed an M4 a few weeks ago and ended up in hospital. He crashed his own GR86 nine months ago. He crashed another M4 about six months before that, crashed a GT86 before that and on and on. In fact, he's crashed eight times this year. After the latest crash there's been something of an outcry on the Nurburgring group FB page for the whole go fund me thing and the complete lack of introspection when it comes to crashing. He's a liability. So, fuck off and don't falsely accuse people of lying.
@@thecraiglett1 Oh, and here's some highlights of his recent crashes: E30 Turbo - Overheated the brakes and binned it Wehrseifen - BMW 330 drove into another competitor in RCN (average time trial) spun into barrier Metzgesfeld - MX5 - spun off into the barrier in the wet - pre Carrousel - BMW 330 - pre season testing, side gone - BMW 330 - first lap of quali, first VLN, wheel on the white line barrier flugplatz - E92 M3 I think Metzgesfeld - M4 ignored low tyre pressure warning and tyre loosing grip, found the barrier bruchen lI - BMW 330 - turned straight across the front of a GT4 car that was alongside, Bruchen Il - GR86 - in waaay too hot into Bruchen 1, misses the apex, gets on the marbles, barrier
@@thecraiglett1mate he has had many crashes and he does crash way more than any taxi driver doing more laps than him. You just don’t hear about them. Been said many times he will kill himself or someone else if he doesn’t change
Joe, you look like you're preparing to be punched in the face. I'd probably have the same expression on my face if I was in the passenger seat with an experienced driver!
Dose it need more power, you say! Whilst looking like a frightened rabbit in the headlights 😅. Fair play to you, I'd be frightened to. But no, you don't need more power. That car has more than enough for you. Thanks for the video.
Just stumbled across your vid. Bought a cheap mk6 gti dsg with a dsg fault (mechatronics) last year, fitted another mechatronics from a breaker coded it and touchwood it’s been a great car ever since. It’s a decent spec one with Xenons etc it has been mapped so now 265ps and great fun but at the same time wifeys run about and owes me the grand total of £4600. 👍🏻
That’s great! They do seem to be very good value and map well. This is my family/daily so I promised I’d leave it alone. The temptation is really strong tho 🤣
So we suspected a shock but I can’t feel that and it’s not leaking. Misha thinks bushes which does make more sense given the cars age. The car had full fast road geometry so ride heights we spot on so hardly going to be a shock.
