And it’s Saturday morning and Summertime! The coffee is ready, the baguette is ready, tomato waiting and garlic is next!!! Can’t wait ! Thank you for the inspiration!
There is a saying in Spain: "Españoles e Italianos, primos hermanos" which translates to "Spanards and Italians, first cousins" which means that we are too similar in food, costumes, you name it
Fabulous! Absolutely my idea of a delicious breakfast….I have never been a fan of heavy or sweet breakfasts. Natural and fresh is the way to go - once again you are right on target 😁
@@emmel4fun Among other things, yes. I, personally, would absolutely not make this breakfast ever - baguette with some grated tomato on top, yes, really great!
yummy, i never made it to Spain yet, was intending to end up in Málaga for winter & spring 2019/20, but ended up getting stranded in Hamburg due to my guitar being destroyed and then losing all my belongings when i had an accident on the train (breaking my nose, fracturing eye socket, huge bruise entire left side of face), then came Covid, and i was grateful to be in Hamburg, for all of Spain was locked down and even w/my knowledge of Spanish i'd probably starve to death being unable to play music on streets or in clubs (as i do here)... looking forward to the time when i can have an actual Spanish breakfast in Spain, want to make it to Barcelona, the Costa del Sol, thenMálaga... thumbs up as always, #987
This was one of my favorite things to have for breakfast while in Madrid. However, place that had the best version was right in Valencia. Can't wait to go back to Spain!
Love the fact that the slices of baguette fitted in the toaster perfectly. I've often seen the tomato sauce in Spanish hotels for breakfast.......I'll try it on toast when I'm next in Spain in April.
This one changed my life, maybe 15 years ago in Ibiza lol, it is now my ultimate comfort breakfast. So happy to see you make it and I don’t even need a kick to treat myself this week and make this meal. Thank you ❤ absolutely love all of your videos!
Good morning, gorgeous breakfast, it will keep you nourished for many hours. Love the fresh orange juice. I make toast, cook up some fresh or tin tomatoes and pour over the toast, it is just fabulous with a sprinkling of herbs. I will try some olive oil, can only be good for you. Thank you for sharing, your recipes are all enjoyable. Kind regards.
Alfredo, another winner! Production note (if you don't mind): with the new white cabinets in the background, your white apron is too light. You'll look your handsome best with a darker colored apron. Ciao!
Just wonderful 💕 It's even got the Spanish national colors when you put the juice between the two baguette slices!😀;) I really love your channel. On Sunday Im going to cook once again one of your recipes and offer it to my birthday party guests!! You're keeping my life Spanish! Mil gracias!!! 💖
@@lilmouse4750 it’s actually a joke coz he always says freshly cracked black pepper which I love but my grinder broke, I told him on another video and he sent sincere condolences as a joke
Toast plus garlic but I put slices tomato on…less work. Enjoy this guys recipes and the only ones I skip is when need to use blender. But I ad lib with his super ideas.
Albert: Delicious! Tomato-garlic (goodness) bread sounds great - along with café con leche and freshly squeezed orange juice. I am THERE!!! Simple and no excuses to not make. Thanks again and have a great weekend. (Fan from San Francisco, California.) *!!~
I’m trying to change my diet. I had no idea the western diet was so toxic. I found an organic amazing bread bakery in my area. I never knew what real bread was supposed to taste like! I just made this dish and it was delicious. Thank you so much. Looking forward to making some others from this channel. ❤
Interesting that you say Spain has the second best longevity, do you have a reference for this? According to Wikipedia it lies 12th and other references put it lower than this.
I think he's talking about countries in Europe and not world wide. Spain is always in the top 3 of European countries when it comes to longevity depending which website you look at. World wide Spain is just a little bit lower but still fairly high. I've seen 7th, 10th and 12th place world wide in longevity in websites.
its nice occasionally, but i much prefer porridge! and ive been living in spain for 17 years! As for the chocolate con churros!! 2 or 3 times a year!! too much sugar +fat for me!
I recomend the eggs as a side.I do it aswell. But on top of the tomato toast I strongly recommend a slice of cheese, any type really, or spanish serrano ham.
English often doesn't make sense. Even though the word "long" ends with a hard "g" sound, the word "longetivity" uses a soft "g". It's not long-uh-tiv-uh-ty, it's lonj-uh-tiv-uh-ty.
Grated tomato MAKES this recipe and takes it to another level . Just made it as shown … yes , a little late for breakfast here , but a tasty Brunch inclusion for us today . Thank you Albert .
The breakfast can be sweet or salty. Generally, the Spain common breakfast is coffee or colacao + sweet or salty food and a glass of Orange juice. When I have a buffet breakfast on holidays at the hotel I taste English/american breakfast.
I didn't know a Spanish breakfast was savory, I always thought a Spanish breakfast was sweet. My parents would almost always have ensaimada or similar for breakfast, even churros con chocolate, so I got used to a sweet breakfast. The coffee, cafe con leche, absolutely always. I'll have to try this. Mind you, this recipe would make a lovely light lunch too.
@iristio927 LOL, I had a friend bring some back from Puerto Rico for me. She doesn't like coffee, only drank it to get through grad school. Her husband likes it, so she bought a bag for him, too. When the ladies at airport security told her "oh, everybody's going to be knocking on your door when they smell this Aroma coming out of your apartment!" She made the decision to give both bags to me. She didn't want the smell in her house. So when they came for a visit, I made some for her husband so he could at least taste it. Another friend was in Puerto Rico for a conference a week ago, and she has brought back two bags for me, and some for herself, because I gave her some as a gift last year and now she's addicted to it 😄😋
Ain't no American making this for breakfast.. too many steps.. It's also super refreshing to HEAR a Spaniard speaking Spanish.. Listening to Mexicans speak Spanish is... Different.. YT Employees quit fkn with my comments.
If you are lazy do as I do: just slice a tomato and put it on the bread, then salt and olive oil. 30 seconds. But make sure you slice the tomato using the bread as your chopping board, that way the juice of the tomato gets soaked in the bread. ALSO if you put a slice of cheese on top of your toast...man I love savory breakfasts.
I never drank coffee until I went to Spain as an exchange student.....cafe con leche converted me! They also served us 2 types of rolls, one was sweet and one was a croissant shape..... Both were memorable and thoroughly enjoyed.....I'd love to know what the rolls were.........
Just got back from a few days in Andalusia. Had this almost every day and love it! Tried making it this morning. I thought I’d be smart and use my nutri bullet to crush the tomatoes. Turned into soup within 2 seconds. 😂 Still good. Will grate them tomorrow. ❤
It's pronounced 'Lon-jevitty' 😂 I thought this was called Pan con Tomate? Whatever it's called it is so simple, so quick and SO delicious! Bread, tomatoes, olive oil, salt and garlic. Nom nom nom ✌️❤️
He made it wrong. This dish is from catalunya and is called pa amb tomàquet. you’re only supposed to rub the tomato directly onto the bread, not grated.
