Absolute pleasure meeting you today at the lake Vincent. I'm only now seeing the story behind your boat. Brilliant.! I hope you have many great years fishing with it.
Thanks a million cheers 😊. I just love getting away from it all and nobody around and I'm at my happiest. Love my own company. Love the wilderness even though its only an hour away from where i live and if you look carefully there are houses in view. I'd love to be really into the wilderness but i guess there's always somebody out there even the top of everest they have traffic lights i believe. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
A striking looking quality boat and a nice catch of a purchase. Wishing you every bit of good luck in your new adventures on the Beach lake. It looks like a beauty and a great match with a lovely story behind it. Great to see such quality craft being recycled back onto the water….and a few catches to prove the fishes are not spooked by it. I think you will have great memorable weekends away this season and many more to come.👏👏👏
I'm like the red baron (German fighter pilot) the trout will see me a mile away with the red color 😂😂😂😂😂😂. Grey is the best color i believe for a lake boat. Red is the worst color looks fantastic but it will spook the fish. 😂😂😂😂 Thanks for your always great comments. Cheers.
@@Vincentdonnelly5158 According to Wikipedia you could be right….We have three different kinds of cones in our eyes, called red, green and blue that make human color vision possible. The goldfish has four kinds of cones: red, green, blue and ultraviolet. Other fish have different numbers and kinds of cones meaning that they have the capability of seeing in color. You may have to rope in Hilda and take her on a camping weekend trip to the beach, flip the boat and repaint the hull in order to fish stealthy on the lake adapting naval battle tactics.😁
Lovely boat Vincent you need a little electric trolling motor the battery would last all day, and you can still be silent for fishing!! Fair play!! 🎣🐟👌
Must check it out. I've always liked rowing and of course it's great exercise. Keeps you fit plus you just go off to dream land while your rowing. Thanks for watching and commenting cheers.
Congratulations Vincent! Shes a beaut! Hope you have many happy times out there. Myself and my husband enjoy your videos. Very talented fella! Tell me where does "for the chest" come from when you take a whisky? Great phrase
Thanks for your lovely kind words. Thanks for your great comment. I was fishing one weekend and had a chesty cough and when i was having a dram i coughed and said innocently for my chest and it's just caught on. I've seen videos of fellas in pubs drinking a shot coughing and a t-shirt on with the words printed on it.... for the chest then they coughed and said for the chest. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. It's just caught on. When I'm dead and buried i can just see on my head stone, FOR THE CHEST. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 i can just see some family visiting the graveyard and the young children asking their parents what does that mean pointing at my head stone. The parents saying poor man must have had a very bad chest and me with the best chest in Ireland. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Best of luck with her Vincent. Watch out for that grub... the packet said it feeds 2 😂. Tough as teak... I remember when I was an apprentice in the '70's and teak was the best wood you could get if you took care of it with teak oil etc. That boat will see you out if you take care of it. Perhaps one of your many friends down in the Kingdom will allow you to store it somewhere nice and dry when it's not in full use.
A boat with so much wonderful character and deep history... It's a match made in heaven... Funny, that boat had your name on it for 50 years... you just didn't know it. A magical, beautiful boat... aged to perfection. Great Find.... Let the fishing adventures begin... ✌️🙂😊😊😊😊
Vincent, I'm absolutely thrilled for you. She's a beautiful boat. I wish you the best of luck with her. I know Paul Lawton too, a gent. I had manys a fish of that lake . Tight lines a chara👍
Definitely a lot of hours into that skiff...... Forget the manual propulsion......55 lb. thrust electric and a lithium battery.....You can troll that lake all day!!😎
Lovely new boat Vincent. So pleased for you mate. What that guy doesn't know about boats isn't worth knowing!😂 He could sell ice to an Eskimo. It's looks brand new. To think it's sat in a shed for fifty years. You looked at home in it and it certainly looks at home on that lake! Aye, a bit of wax on those oars and you're ready!😂
The thing i love about the lake is its privately owned it was sold to a man who remains anonymous. It supplies killarney with drinking water but the one are two farmers that live near the lake have access to the lake so that's how you can put a boat on it. Plus there's no restrictions on it you can use a worm a minnow and your not looking over your shoulder because you have a barb on your hook.
@@Vincentdonnelly5158 nice 😊 I moved to Macroom last week my friend so I’m back around if you ever want to meet up for a cast. I’m right between Cork and Kerry 😊😊💯🎣🎣
It's a beauty all right. Wasn't expecting a boat that nice from Paul Laughton and Donal i was truly delighted with my purchase. May be the best deal I've ever done. 😊
