In 2011 the ravens had a heart breaker and lost in the afc championship to the pats and then got their revenge in the afc championship the following year and won the sb. Hopefully my lions remember that feeling and reach the nfc title game again to give themselves another shot to make the superbowl

The Broncos are going to run the Seahawks off the Field. Brady's window is passed 2011 was his last chance. We shouldn't talk about if Luck or RG3 will win a Super Bowl but how many will they win. I've heard a lot of takes over the years. Hell they were declaring the downfall of Mahomes just last year.
Lions fan here. Great video, you know ball. If pass defense improves our defense has no reason to not be top 10 and our offense is already top 5! Agree with Jamo he needs to be the WR2 we know he can be. Glad you also mentioned Jack cambell he needs to be one of our top defenders (I think he’s in for a breakout year). And yes some big games on the schedule (including divisional games too). I bet the niners game decides the 1 seed. We hardly lost anyone and only gained we winning the fucking Super Bowl baby lets goooo!!
Detroit is 1 of 3, maybe 4 teams that could potentially win 15 games in 2024. They’ve gotten better every year under Dan Campbell. There’s no real reason to think that would change this season with the way they continue to develop talent, especially since they haven’t lost any of that talent. This team is 22-8 in its last 30 games. They’ve also been the best team in the NFL ATS which means they are undervalued as well.
I do wish this weird perception on gambles would stop. Statistically, his gambles have paid off way more then they have failed. He goes with the analytics largely for the gambles. He gambled the entire season, but because he had one fail in the title game people act like they had not by and large worked out and led them to the point they were at. I dunno, I just think it is cherry picking heavily. Beyond that, great video, thanks for it.
People can’t get past results oriented analysis. They don’t understand that the result of a play has little bearing on whether or not something was the right decision.
These last 4 Lions drafts are top 10 all time Lions drafts... back to back to back to back. This team could be a Juggernaut. Hard to see any weaknesses. Obviously, injuries can derail any team, but this team is just starting its crescendo. Where the draft picks have experience, and are still on rookie contracts. I'd be shocked if Detroit takes a step back. It's far more likely that Detroit starts eviscerating teams.
My thinking is “Time will Tell”, If the Lions Management & the Team gets to Comfortable, things could Fall apart, they need to stay HUNGRY, keep a humble attitude, letting Every Win act as a positive Stepping stone to a hopeful future Superbowl WIN,!!
The main reason that Dan Campbell gambled is because he didn’t trust his secondary, which prove to be weak, especially in the second part of the season
If Jahmyr Gibbs becomes a better pass catcher, and Sam LaPorta gets better, and Jameson Williams gets better (I think all of them will) than it is inevitable that Jared Goff is going to have a better season. I really don't see how he doesn't.
@@LC-ue1jh Jamo scored the first and last touchdown in the NFC Championship against San Francisco. He's definitely not a bum, he was suspended the first 4 games. and couldn't practice with the team during the summer.
@@LC-ue1jh He was injured his rookie year and only had one reception. Everything else was last year and of course he missed the first 4 games because of that suspension. You can call him a bust if he plays all year and doesn't improve. If we use your logic anyone who was injured their first season and then plays 2/3 of the games his second season, you combine those 2 years stats and they're a bust. Is Levi a bust? Is Pascal a bust? Hooker's definitely a bust because he's not gonna have any stats for his first 2 seasons. Iffy would have been considered a bust if you judged him after his first 2 seasons. You want to know the definition of a bust? Jeffrey Okudah. I think you've got something against Jamo. Even if he has a breakout season, you''ll still be hatin on him.
@Tre-77 see previous comment nothing you said changed anything I said he's played in 18 games has 25 catches or 1.3 catches per game played and for 22 yards a game and 1 td every 6 games those are his stats for the games he played not thr ones he missed 1.3 catches for 22 yards and 0.16 tds a game he's trash u can say he's good when he's healthy not getting suspended and averaging 4 times as many yards 6-7xs as many catches and 5xs as many tds he's horrible
Btw our kicker, Bagley, aka the money Badger, has been working on his leg strength and it shows. He’s kicking and making 61 yard FG with yards to spare. Goff said today that he and JaMo are finally in sync. Alim is going to carry the rock at fullback in the red zone. CJ is working with Broderick. Jack Campbell is sharp in OTA’s and mini-camp, three int’s. Barnes flashed last year in playoffs. Davenport has flashed, as has the End from Canada. Vaki is kickoff returner, ST. You can always tell when someone didnt watch the Lions that much last season when they put the NFC Championship loss on Dan. As if the Gibbs fumble and the 3 dropped passes by Reynolds and St Brown are fine. Bro just say you dont watch Detroit and keep it moving.
As a hardcore Detroit fan, the issue with going for it on 4th, had alot to do with trust in our kicker, Michael Badgley. As of now he's the projected starter but got another kicker for competition.
Definite sb contender, if they don't turn it over and get better in the secondary they'll go even further this season, Jameson Williams has to take the next step for a complete offense, la Porta is a potential gamebreaker
I totally agree with Cambell Gamble. I think he doesn’t have to go for it as much on 4th down. I think we are going to be much better out the gate than last year.
Lions fan here. Agree 100% DC has to step back on all the 4th downs. Be more strategic and keep them guessing. Mix it up with some trick plays when it is not expected and when it really counts.
