A VERY brief look at the Symbiote Costume in Spider-Man 2 (PS5) 

i haven't heard many people talk about the alternate costume aspect of the symbiote suit but im incredibly excited to see what variations they (probably) will have in store

I absolutely love the design, I do have a few nitpicks but it’s a sold 9/10. And I also do think the suit will change as the Symbiote bonds with Peter, making it resemble Venom more and more.

I actually like the fleshy parts, I just like the texture and the fact that it looks like organism stuff. I love it. And also I just like most of insomniacs designs. I think they knocked it out of the park

I thinks it’s classic enough with enough minor alterations to make it great. Super happy with insomniac. Hope we have different versions

The symbiote suit seems to be based on Kamen Rider BLACK. The fleshy undersuit being overlayed with black padding. Considering that there are tokusatsu-styled suits in both Peter and Miles' games, it's no surprise Insomniac must be fans of the franchise and decided to integrate some of it on the symbiote.

I think the entire suit should have went with an armor look instead of some parts having pads and others not since it looks a bit off to me, but if that rumor mentioned is true then I don't think I have much to worry about the design.

I think the suit will start looking like the classic design and it will slowly get more incongruous the longer Peter wears it, making him angrier and more bitter every stage and this is probably the 2nd or 3rd stage. That explains Miles reaction when Peter apears. And when Peter gets rid of the suit he will use a cloth costume that looks like the one he used while Reed Richards studied the symbiote on the comics

I like this design, but for ppl who don't, they almost certainly will have a classic version as an unlockable costume so its fine

What I would like to see with the symbiote suit is that is starts out looking like the advanced but black and overtime It looks like how it does from a Comics and then how it looks like in the PlayStation showcase and then it becomes a lot more monstrous and has eyes like the Mac Gargan venom and you starts growing your mouth and tongue

For me, it's a 9.5/10. The only thing that could make it look better for me, would be a little more armor on the back of Peter's head.

Agree with the video. People saying it’s perfect when others are clearly disagreeing and that we should just be happy with what we get. I love the simplicity of the original design, this one feels busy. If the whole costume had the same texture has the front part of his mask then it would be better imo

i like the zenomorph vibe it gives off,definitely adds a creepy vibe to it.

Huh, I was thinking to myself that muscle fiber look would've looked cooler, not knowing what the Midnight Suns version looked like. I think a dialed back version with a proper finish would've worked well, with a (very) subtle skull notif for the mask.

I liked the white pads on the hands a lot better. I'm not a fan of the armored look. Im mostly looking forward to the black variations of other costumes.

I like it. Its a pretty unique take on good ol Venom. Im a huge venom fan and a pretty amateur artist that simply loves drawing Venom. I looked at movie, game, animated, fan made Klyntar for hours just for fun and I peronally dont understand why some people dislike it so much. Its a pretty unique look. Venon was getting more and more armor like and less like spandex or somehing over the years and adding fleshy bits still aknowledges its organic origin despite the plateing. A suit that would be vsry sleek and closer to a normql suit would not feel like a suit that enables Peter with some incredible feets. It isnt very accurate cuz the creatora create a world where that would not work as well.

I agree with your take, wish they did it how you said. Though I wouldn't call them "wrong" for their deviation in interpretation, but they definitely should have turned the dial down a few notches so it wouldn't have triggered so many people. I mean the dude has lizard skin.

I’m not sure about the alternate sits having symbiote forms, but there will definitely be alternate symbiote suits. Personally, I like this symbiote suit. I think the half armor-half flesh thing makes sense because Peter only recently got it, and I like the look

I'm assuming the suit works like in Web of Shadows, being togglable, at least after a certain point in the story since I'd think you'd be forced to stay in it for story cohesion for the first chunk of the game. You'd then have two suit slots, normal and symbiote, the animation you mentioned masking the transition, each normal suit wouldn't have a direct counterpart tied to it, no instead you'd have a selection of symbiote variants to choose from and equip separately.

to me the padding, seam lines and the texture ruin in it for me, it has a very classic black suit look specially with the white parts, i would prefer if they used the moving texture he has in the neck to be all around the suit instead of bit and pieces here and there, seems to be like they over complicated the design and a few fixes could heavely improve the look of it to something more clean.

Disagree with just about everything. This suit is almost perfect. The symbiote is so much better with xenomorph textures

The only part i dont like is the back of his head when you look from the side, it kinda looks like a weird helmet and it just looks weird.. otherwise i dont really mind it, and i hope we get other versions like Classic and Ultimate Black Suits

i just know if theirs a pc version, we finna get the best version of this through mods. I just cant wrap my head around the stupid trash bag/wrinkly goo form they got going, as the armor sections look good enough for the whole suit to be made of so you get an armored yet muscley suit. Maybe the suit will evolve over time until you get the og style suit with isnt segmented at all and is a reflection of peters decent due to the influence of venom, but that is WAY too much to ask for nowadays.

I do enjoy the design and think it’s like a more realistic take on a symbiote suit with hard shells on certain parts and more fleshy parts on the joints but do agree to much fleshy parts and should have had more solid parts

i think it looks a little ugly they should have made it more like the web of shadows or ultimate spider man suit because like it looks armour plated and just a little to nasty

I think it looks amazing. Likes it’s genuinely creepy and uneasy. Rather than just being a recolour or smooth. I love how it feels organic and alive

I like the fact that the Symbiote goes to the extend to mold and contour itself to the different materials that this Spidey's suit is of. Like...yeah the Symbiote looking like its all one material is iconic but that's because we've only seen the Symbiote spidey suit bond to a Spidey suit that was only ever just made of one material. I like seeing how an older more experienced Peter made adjustments to his suit to make being Spider-Man easier, and I'm personally really invested in the eay the Symbiote is trying to mesh with it. In my mind, this new Symbiote suit gives me.... xenomorph vibes strangely enough.

With such an iconic suit, I wished insomniac went for their own take rather than trying to keep it classic. Their advanced suit as a base is so good, the symbiote version of it would have been much better imo. There is an artist called not_alish, and his symbiote suit concept is literal perfection

Some thing I like about the black suit is that, even designs that have issues still tend to look really cool. Simply put it in all black Spider-Man with a handful of white highlights. It’s hard to mess that up. So what do you like this design or not? I think we can agree that the Symbiot suits almost always look cool

I have a feeling that they’re mixing together the origins of the Symbiote for this. In the story trailer, we see people discovering the Symbiote in what looks like a meteor crash site, so maybe Norman discovered the Symbiote after it crashed to earth, contained it and discovered the healing properties it possessed and used it on Harry when he got too sick. And I really like the design. It makes it very unique to this depiction of Spider-man like the advanced suit was to the first game. It draws on the classic stuff while adding its own spin on it. And there’s guaranteed to be multiple versions of the Symbiote suit (probably not for every suit variation, but certainly a chunk of variety) which will have at least one variant that anyone will like

I like that they tried something different and I ain't mad at the "armor" look but I'd of got rid of the wrinkly bits and toned down the segmented look in some places like around the jaw, would of followed the muscle structure of a human abit more
