Honestly if they really wanted to go that route they could’ve just did it like Judgment did and just had the bosses have insane juggle gravity, instead them gaining 4 secs of superarmor for no reason
I love all you had to do really is just increase yakuzas combo speed and make agent have more opportunities to quickstep cancel is all you need to improve the combat tenfold (tbh I am still conflicted if non modded gaiden has better combat than 6 or if 6 is better, I just like wall stuns.)
gaiden has better combat when you factor in that juggling isnt all the game is, his styles weren't really built to juggle as well as yagami so you have to adopt a different playstyle
@@jkeebla what are the other combo opportunities gaiden kiryu has besides like three hits, because gaidens main way to combo (consistently) is most definitely juggling, unless of course new stuff gets discovered Which I have kinda found out that the instant running tech from lj is also in gaiden but thats something different
@@jkeebla Yeah even then Lost Judgment does non juggling combat way better because players have found ways to back combo bosses consistently, and Yagami has way more tools to deal with the enemies in his game compared to Kiryu
@@DillionTI'm having a lot of fun with Gaiden but even as someone who's not a super mega combo jerk off, i find it more complicated to play evasively in this game than in 6 Haven't got to LJ yet but Judgment also had more ways to consistently get damage in(wall jumps, leap-throughs, charged quickstep attacks) I guess that's what having such a small development time does to a game. I'm still enjoying it very much though, and i can write it off as our old uncle Kaz growing old, he can't quite backflip off a dropkick like he could back in the day
Kinda wish some of the stylistic changes in the mod were reverted, like Agent style's style switch animation or the charged attack being turned into Tiger's charged attack. Loses a bit of uniqueness. Other than that the gameplay improvements the mod gives are pretty phenomenal
Hello, I just saw your video and bought this game because of it but mine looks nothing like yours I am up to the shishido boss and don't have any moves my hits dont juggle like yours do. I have now spent 2hourss dying to this boss, please explain (I am on PS5)
@@jkeeblaYeah i guess they wanted him to be more of a bruiser, but Kiryu is quite a technical fighter as well so him being able to juggle is not out of question I'd be fine with the limit if they could add wall bounds like in 4, like at that point i would be the biggest Gaiden defender but alas(you do get bounced off a wall upon hits sometimes but it's not an actual mechanic i think, sadly)
@@DillionT okay , that is why people were making memes on some combo drops but I thought it was jank cuz of the dragon engine . thanks for the clarfication , I though the combat was worse .
that happens to me in lost judgment too after like 15 seconds, but sometimes i'll get like a 30 second combo when they start entering the floor, is it just cause im a novice or is that an actual feature in lj as well@@DillionT
@@jkeebla it’s a mechanic called floating state(coined by the community).Basically when they’re close to the ground and you hit them, they’ll sometimes enter floating state and you can combo them a lot more, getting this in LJ is pretty easy and beneficial to combos, you can get this in Gaiden too but it doesn’t matter because of the 6 second time limit
Kinda, they look and feel good to use and are relatively good crowd control but outside of that they’re p impractical plus Agent p much phases out Yakuza style in group fights cause of the gadgets and ex combo.
