It's all about genetics and lifestyle. I'm in my 50's and my erections are not that different from those in my early 20's. But I'm also at optimal body weight and have the same waist size as I did in my early 30's, and I my physical fitness regimen is way more intense than it was in my 20's. Genetics loads the gun and environment pull the trigger. Stay fit!

There is no doubt here. This ED treatment works. The final results definitely stunned me. Before I was lost but this time I`ve found my drive once again, like a young blood. It makes me able to do much better. My health has build up and I am noticing that I am getting bigger . My wife and I both observed the improvements. I would not ask for more than this.
Again, I don't know how every man over the age of 30 is not a subscriber to this channel! I look forward to your informative and instructive video every day Dr. Malik. Thank you for doing the real research for us!

I guess not every man of 30s have this problem. This mostly happens to men over 50s. And this is mainly with their lifestyles now for example many womens have pcod.. again it depends on ur diet. And many other factors. So not all men of 30s has this issue if he eats clean don smoke dont drink no stress no depression.
Fantastic information Rena and a great channel. Personally, I'm almost 60 years old and never had issues with erection function. These days its super strong as I do eat banana, orange, strawberry, almonds, pistachios, walnuts and I also exercise by rigorous walking and strength actions every day.
Nice to see a female urologist address mens issues as well.... Many of them I see on here tend to be myopically focused on just helping womens issues...Kudos to you!
Cut carbs and brought my glucose (A1c) down and "morning wood" is essentially a daily thing. No processed oils or food, high hydration, exercise. A year ago I had a 7.5 A1c and now a 5.4... Age 56 (today)

Your a tribute to men world wide thank you for sharing. Just found a pubmed on B6, and vitamin E for lowering prolactin by over fifty percent each per study. I'm thinking of combining them. IV vitamin b6 was great took few days and the erectile dysfunctionality went. I think oral vitamin E is the next step because only Korea has IV vitamin E. Gonna start taking ginseng and apple cider vinegar now because, who doesn't wanna be able to go at 68 (in a 69) I got garlic to and moringa capsules are my main oral supplement at the moment. Thanks for sharing .
I recently made a change to my lifestyle and started doing KETO. I also started taking Boron and eat about 15 to 20gr 70% unsweetened dark chocolate a day. I have diabetes and have been having problems with all sorts of medical issues including ED. My life has changed and I now longer suffer from ED and many of the other problems I had are now just about gone.
I want to thank you very much .....As a 76 yr old with a problem , your Folic Acid supplement recommendation is a winner ....I have no problem now ... I take no other medication.
It`s truly a great ED treatment method to get over some of your problems in the bed room. I`m joyful regarding having found it because I was wanting to get over my lack of ability to keep at attention. This educational and helpful guide gets me excited every night.
Lentils is one of the best sources of protein/folic acid. And ED is basically just age combined with bad diet, which causes a chain reaction of lack of sleep and many other things. It's not really so much about adding folic acid, it's more about removing 99% of what we eat, that flushes it out. Like for example soda or anything else being drunk from a can. So to summarize: water, veggies, fruit, sleep, lentils. That's all. ED is basically a sign of inflammation. So stuff like bad meat, raw meat, milk products ans such is to blame for it. A pill adding folic acid is not really gonna fix a bad diet.
I’m 46 and can still get going when my wife is ready without any ED meds. I stopped drinking 13 years ago and take Vitamins A,B-100, D3, E,K2,Garlic and Fish Oil daily and I truly believe after I put the alcohol down I have been able to perform anytime. Hope that helps someone
Um… at 46 I should hope so! Perhaps you were such a heavy drinker back in the day, but healthy men should be able to get a woody upon stimulation into their 50’s 60’s, 70’s or even older. I am 62 and have never failed to rise to the occasion.

Dr Malik I watched your video on Folic Acid and sexual performance and agree with your findings. I have been talking 800mg of Folic Acid for over 15 years. It was remembered by my doctor. @ Dr Rena Malik : does the folic acid supplement need to be synergized with b12 and iron? Some thing I read while looking into Folate and Folic acid for those with type 2 diabetes and ED.
Rena, you look prettier in every new video. Now is the question I still do not have an answer: what do you recommend of all the men's sexual vitamin supplements?
Your research and simple explanations are as informative as they are beneficial. I also find that playing your videos while doing concurrent reading on the topic is also helpful. Thank you very much. Fine efforts.
It's important to bear in mind that folate deficiency may imply B12 deficiency, and that B12 status should be assessed. Gastritis from various causes may prevent B12 from being absorbed, which in turn blocks folate absorption.
@@RoDo13 yes Eric is right gastritis from various causes may prevent b12 from bieng absorb anymore ,in this case you will not be able to take it by food you have to take it by injections every 3 months 1st then every 8 month for life ,my father has same issue.
I had Covid recently and it made me deficient in Folate (quite common). Before Covid I would always wake with an erection but covid stopped that. The doctor did a blood test as a check for something else saw I was deficient in folate (only thing he found wrong) and within 18 hours of taking the first tablet I was back to normal again!
I wonderful Lady and such a Professional, just what I have needed to help me with my ED problem, thank you so much for your videos Rina, they are much appreciated.
I'm 75 years old now and I've only had ED experiences maybe a dozen times in my life, and most of those have been within the last couple of years. But most of the time I'm sitting on go sexually. I think the secret to my success is that I've been eating sardines ever since I was a young boy, and because I've been eating beef liver once a week since I was a young man. Another thing I think has really helped keep me in shape sexually is that I've been drinking red wine since I was in my late 20's, a bottle or two per day, and I hardly ever miss a day. But I think the main thing is the sardines. I usually eat two or three cans per week and I've been doing that for most of my life. Every time one of my ex's saw me eating sardines she'd say "Oh No!!!" But she'd be saying it with a grin on her face.
@@user-jo5fz8iw3b ~ It usually takes several hours for the protein and fish oil to kick in to make me horny. When I was younger and my digestion was faster it didn't take but maybe an hour or two for the protein and fish oil to kick in. I don't eat sardines as often as I used to because I don't have a woman in my life any more. I've been divorced for five years and I don't know if I'll ever meet another woman who I'd like to get intimate with.
Under "Yeast" you can list Vegemite. Vegemite is one of the richest sources of B vitamins, specifically thiamine, riboflavin, niacin and folate (B1, B2, B3 and B9, respectively). A teaspoon of Vegemite contains half your daily requirements of folate.
I've been having the issue and decided to take folic acid seemed to really help from day one. i'm thinking my diet has been an issue. So its a inexpensive way to consider, give it a shot.
Folic acid is synthetic. Folate is what occurs naturally in food. They are not quite the same. Is it only folic acid that helped? Or might one get the same results with folate?
Thank you doc for your genuine kindness toward humanity thanks for helping me get ready of my illness good news shall never depart from your household thanks doc…
Her expertise is in female pelvic medicines and reconstructive surgery. There is no way she has a complete understanding of erectile dysfunction, especially when it comes to understanding how devastating it can be for men with no treatment options. She has no idea how it can feel to a man with ED.
@@markh9202 MH: Exactly: Females are not going to understand men's issues fully. They may try to "textbook" their way through, nonetheless, would be devoid of complete knowledge.
Great presentation. Love it! I've watched quite a few of your videos and I really enjoy them; they're all very informative and useful. May I ask... I use several dietary supplements, some of which have folic acid. I'm getting between 3 to 4mg folic acid per day. But I'm concerned that I may not be methylating all this folic acid and maybe even having inadequate methylation overall (though, as far as I know, I don't have the MTHFR gene mutation). So, I worry that folic acid may accumulate in my body, and that I may suffer some side effects eventually. Are my fears justified, and what should I do? Is it a good idea to take methylators, e.g. SAM-e? Also, do you think that there's a way I could convert folic acid to folate somehow? Like, maybe, adding my B-complex supplement to yoghurt or kefir in the hope that the probiotic bacteria would take up and convert the B vitamins, making them more bioavailable, especially the folic acid? Or, how about taking folic acid/B-complex with a mineral solution. Would these methods work? Thanks so much.
Hi Doctor, my primary Doc tested my folic acid levels and it’s 14.0 ng.I’m in chemo treatment for cancer, but still sufffer from ED. sometimes I have to take 40mg to 60 mg of cialis.thank you for sharing this.

Hi doc, this video is the best reason I know of to actually get me to take my folic acid pills. I have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, for which I take Methotrexate and Folic acid to combat side effects. But I don't like taking pills, so this is a really good reason, that I can relate to for taking my Folic Acid. Thanks
I had psoriasis after having prolonged unnecessary stress. I Finally learned that cortisol can be like insulin, insulin resistance or cortisol resistance so high stress over a period of time creates cortisol resistance and cortisol is an anti-inflammatory so therefore the cortisol doesn’t work correctly and inflammation of the skin becomes an issue. I Cut out all the unnecessary stress and after about a year and a half to two years they information is about 99% gone. Also I found that some foods are inflammatory and some are anti-inflammatory and during that recovery time foods such as fried food and sugar would aggravate the problem. Also I found that eating fried food at home with non-vegetable oil was less of a problem compared to eating fried food in restaurants and who knows how many times it had cooked food. So you may take that into consideration with your skin issues as well. But avoiding high fructose corn syrup especially I saw a difference. This is found in almost all soft drinks and many candies because it’s cheap. I hope that helps but it pays to pay attention to what you eat for sure. Also cortisol levels can be controlled by proper sleep patterns.
I found that soaking in dead sea salt gave me relief from excessive itchy dry skin or psoriasis. It also helps detoxify the body which helps the underlying cause.
For what I have studied folate is required for proper methylation, when you don’t methylate properly you can develop endothelial dysfunction. That is pre atherosclerosis, and you can have a cascade of issues with your vascular system. ED is one of the first signs of heart/ vascular disease. When you can’t get or maintain an erection you have a lot more going on then ED, you need to have a serious look into your health.

If you can take folic acid, which is recommended, ( not for those on seizure meds like dilantin, read below) if you were to add PABA in higher dosages some of your grey hairs will turn back to their normal color. At 68 less than 2% of my hair is now grey. (Amateur research bio-chemist)

Hey there Doctor Malik. My ED started when I began taking antidepressants. Then there was nervousness ...I'm not a machine ok. Then it started to get worse a few years before Cardiomiopathy was diagnosed. Then while speaking to a Pharmacist he informed me some of my Medication can cause ED. Soooo overall I thank you but I will just stick to knitting these days.
It's actually bad advice to tell people to take folic acid. Some people don't metabolize it properly and it can cause serious complications for those individuals. The way around it is not to take supplemental folic acid and mostly get it from foods. But that's also problematic because heat degrades/destroys folate in foods so the foods need to be raw or uncooked (this might explain why so many are deficiant in ths nutrient because we eat so few raw foods these days). If you need supplemental folate, there's a safe form called "methylfolate" (NOT folic acid) that is the form the body is supposed to convert folate from foods into. Anyone can take it and it avoids the possible dangerous complications of taking folic acid that doesn't metabolize for some individuals.
Magnesium and Vitamin B is what I take daily or so. In addition I have herbs powder like ashwagandha, shatawari, akarkarha, and macuna pruriens etc., and that works great. Psyilium husk is another great thing. I also take monthly dose of my vitamin d3.
I take the same (D3, Zinc, Magnesium) as well as L-Citiruline. Along with regular exercise these supplements keep things working and improves desire for sex.
I have been eating keto for 8.5 weeks. Speaking candidly, my erections are extremely hard now. They've always been very hard, but now it's just ridiculous.
In your opinion which one would be better folic acid or methylfolate ? Also can you take them together and can you take too many? what would be the danger of taking too many or too high of a dose (mg., mcg.?) them or taking too many ?
So Dr. Question I am Hetrozygous in my Mhtfr gene, which means that one allelle is smaller than the other. My body does not convert Folic acid to methyllated vitamin b12. Since this condition can also cause issues with the uptake of seratonin and norepinephrine, dopamine and Oxitocin. Due to this I am anorgasmic, and my question is having this disorder with diabeties and this disorder is there a relation to mhtfr and erectile dysfuntion.
