And also... why is Darling Daughter phoning in her tea requests IN ADVANCE of showing up anyway? What is mum now - Just Eat? I don't even have dementia myself, but if someone gave me their tea order over the phone before they showed up, I'd respond with "Yeah, well, y'know what? You can tell me when you get here."

Guests can serve themselves. Or else make a list for the mother, laminate it, and tape it on a cupboard door for the mother to make it easier on the mother.

Many people with dementia are unaware that they're at risk and want to do chores for themselves. Making the home safe and monitoring the person without restricting their privacy, movement and choices can be really hard.

I forgot the requests the moment the phone was hung up. also, didn't know dementia caused reflections to break the laws of light transport with that reflection being at the wrong perspective.

I'd be like: Whatever. I'm gonna make a pod of tea and set a box of sugar cubes, a small can of milk, teaspoons and napkins on the table. Let _them_ figure this stuff out. They're old enough, after all.

Totally ridiculous!! Can anyone recall the amount of sugar or milk, and on a telephone call to a person with dementia! This must be the most pathetically inaccurate video I have ever seen...so far...😰😡

It’s pretty clear they don’t she has dementia. Otherwise she probably wouldn’t even be alone in the first place. It’s when these symptoms build up and get worse usually that family can sense it more often and figure out something is going on other than a few senile Mistakes.

They probably don't know she has it. Many people with dementia have extremely subtle symptoms so even they don't know if anything is wrong. It's usually only noticeable when it gets bad.
