Happy Birthday Mrs. October! An important point was made regarding the Hound surviving. The Gods still have a use for him. The same can be said about Arya. She survived what should have been a slow & fatal death with those knife stabs to her abdomen. After recovering, The Waif would have still beaten her. But Arya was taught how to fight blind for a reason. The Many-Faced God had plans for Arya. After getting her eyes back, Arya was truly becoming "A Faceless Man". She needed a reminder of who Arya Stark was. The Many Faced God charged her with the assassination of the actress to give her that reminder. Jaqen H'ghar could have easily beaten Arya at the end. Instead, he nodded to Arya going home. Then he smiled because he knew he had served his God well.

No the joke wasn’t that the Starks are poor. It’s a twist on an old joke about the Irish being upset they don’t get to enjoy every last drop of that beer

When Arya says "My name is Arya Stark and I'm going home." If you watch the face of Jougin Hazar (sp) he slowly gives a little smile as if he has known all along what Arya's journey was about and he was just teaching her enough to be able to to what she has to.

I’ve said it before and it needs to be said again: you guys’ editing is just great. And I’m not even talking about the fancy cuts between full GoT screen to split screen to GoT screen with reaction bubble heads to full living room (fantastic, it’s what i miss when watching other channels). I’m talking about you guys not cutting out contextual stuff and letting episode-long jokes play out to their punchlines. Kudos!

Love the Arya and Lady Crane scenes. Bit of tongue in cheek at 28:12 where Arya says she didn't think she could remember all the lines. Maisie said same thing about acting. Another example, when Lady Crane compliments "Mercy" on her very expressive eyes and wonderful eyebrows, two trade marks of Maisie Williams. One deleted scene had Arya while watching the play scold two old crones who thought play was inappropriate or whatever. Arya said something in the likes of no one is forcing you to watch. Maisie Williams has said same thing when asked what she thought of people who thought GoT was too risque

Did they get that Jaime was actually honorable in the way he took Riverrun? He swore a vow to Cat that he would never take up arms against Starks or Tullys ever again. And then he managed to take Riverrun without taking up arms. He needed Edmure to believe he'd do all those things he said and if worked. He took the castle without a battle.

That was a court ordered anger management class. 😂😂

Also on Jaquen Haggar the leader of the many faced people, he told the girl who really didn't like Arya to make sure she didn't suffer, when really that was never the intention..as she wanted Arya to suffer.. In the end i think Jaquen respected Arya, and didn't mind letting her go

The Hound's reveal was so epic! It's one of the best cold opens in the show by far. :) these two episodes are so epic!! And the next two are also just amazing. Oh and Jaimie was half bluffing is what i got when it comes to what he said with Edmour in the tent. I honestly don't think Jaimie would kill his baby. Or slaughter that many people.

Arya has major plot armor on, she should be dead. The knife slashes she could survive but those stabs in the gut area, that would be hitting organs and this is a Dark Ages setting so surgeons and medicine is nothing like it is today. Jaime picked up some things from his father, when he got ruthless with Edmure by saying he'll do whatever it takes to capture that castle, even if it means wiping out every Tully soldier there is. Except Tywin wouldn't be talking about it or try and negotiate, he would actually do it. And my favorite character is back, The Hound. Fallen/broken characters are my favorite type of characters because they are more interesting. You said Ramsay being eaten by his own dogs, LOL 🤔

Happy birthday, Mrs October! It's a shame it couldn't come just one more episode later for the Battle of the Bastards. That would've been a better gift. lol

At first I took issue with Arya recovering and winning so quickly but the show doesn't always translate time well so she did have quite a bit of time to recover. We also never see how bad her wound is. We assume because she is sliced across the belly that she is basically deboweled but the slice could have been shallow. She obviously had the advantage in the dark and was ready for the attack, the last time. She was mostly healed and prepared. The more I watch it, the more it makes sense.

I love this show, and especially Arya, but her walking off being stabbed multiple times in the gut and swimming through literal toilet water is the dumbest thing to ever happen on a TV show. She really should be super dead. Modern medicine would have a hard time keeping her alive without her swimming in the waste of a million people. I mean Khal freaking Drogo was brought low by a cut on his chest, yet Arya survives her stomach and intestines being perforated multiple times, then she swam in the actual sewer and is fine... SMH So anyway the scene with the Blackfish and the Freys is clearly inspired by the story of Black Agnus of Dunbar,(ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Wc_Eo20kCI8.html) a legendary woman who held her castle against a vastly superior British army for 6 months. Per Wikipedia; "At one point, the English having taken her brother, John Randolph, 3rd Earl of Moray prisoner, he was brought to Dunbar and Montague threatened to hang him if the Countess did not surrender the castle. However, she merely responded that his death would only benefit her, as she was his heir. She was not in line for the earldom but was the heir to his lands along with her sister." Much like with the Freys, it was an empty threat from the British, they did not in fact hang him.

Tyrion and varys would have smoked an attack coming from 10 miles and come up with good strategy, like the battle of blackwater. The show ruined their characters.

Mr. October, you put it perfectly when you talked about what Cersei and Brienne each bring out of Jaime. And I've never really taken that far enough before: That both women represent the two sides of Jaime: the monster and the man of honor. He is that dichotomy. Thats why i really loved him and despised him in the show.

Always thought Lady Crane should have said as my acting troop traveled all over the world I came across some magic healing drops. Arya wounds would be life threatening. If she had a nicked intestines bowl it would be over. As we know this world has magic.

I'm kind of a Cersei superfan if I'm being honest lol. But I was always a sucker for a good villain. "I choose violence" is one of my favorite parts of the whole series. Also I liked Arya's entire arc from start to finish so I'm definitely in a minority

Hate to nerd out but…the Glovers aren’t just going to tell the son of Ned Stark & Sansa Stark to jog on, it’s frankly absurd writing from guys who are also book nerds and are also well aware of the absurdity.

Arya did get stabbed but you have to thinkt about this. She was beaten to hell while being blind and even while she isnt blind. So she had a way higher pain tolerance and also she had adrenaline pumping for survival. Also she is young so hwr body heals quicker

I love Jaqen's small smile. I have a theory, never confirmed or not in the show, that there is a prophecy about Arya that sends the Faceless men to train her, first via Syrio, then Jaqen (I believe the same person--no one) so she gets the skills she needs.

Man, 6x8 is such a poor episode. So many bad versions of possible endings to promising plotlines. What a relief that the next two are so terrific.

Lady O is the only character that can truly read Cersei. Her insults were so good because she knew exactly how horrible Cersei was all along. One of my favorite characters in the series.
