Drogon is a teenager, not in years but in tude. He loves his mother and wants her to know he still supports her. That said, he's still going through his adolescent angst.
We saw Ilyrio Mopatis (the friend Varys mentioned) in the first season, in fact, the first episode. He was the Magistrate that gave Viserys and Daenarys a place to live, and they had been living with him in the house that Varys and Tyrion are at, at the start of this episode. He's also the one who arranged the marriage to Khal Drogo, and gave her 3 dragon eggs as a wedding gift. He was the guy that was having a conversation with Varys near the dragon skull near the dungeon, that Arya overheard, and told her father about it.😊
Some of the greatest Stannis quotes from the books come from when Stannis and Jon Snow are together. "Lord Davos Seaworth is a man of humble birth, but he reminded me of my duty, when all I could think of was my rights. I had the cart before the horse, Davos said. I was trying to win the throne to save the kingdom, when I should have been trying to save the kingdom to win the throne." "We all know what my brother would do. Robert would gallop up to the gates of Winterfell alone, break them with his Warhammer, and ride through the rubble to slay Roose Bolton with his left hand and the Bastard with his right. I am not Robert. But we will march, and we will free Winterfell … or die in the attempt."
Also when the Nights Watch pick their commander in episode 2, a man tries to suggest Janos Slynt (who betrayed Ned stark) becomes the lord commander. “Who better to lead the black cloaks than the one who led the gold cloaks.” Stannis’ response is hilarious: “anyone, even the cook.”
Little back story on the beginning scene with little cersei, the girl she was with was named Lady Melara Hetherspoon a member of house Hetherspoon, a vassal house of house Lannister. She had a crush on Jaime when they were young, she soon dies by drowning in a well and it is heavily implied in the books that Cersei pushed melara into the well. From the books- "Please," begged Melara. "Just tell us our futures, then we'll go." "I get three questions too," her friend insisted. And when Cersei tugged upon her arm, she wriggled free and turned back to the crone. "Will I marry Jaime?" she blurted out. You stupid girl, the queen thought, angry even now. Jaime does not even know you are alive. Back then her brother lived only for swords and dogs and horses . . . and for her, his twin. "Not Jaime, nor any other man," said Maggy. "Worms will have your maidenhead. Your death is here tonight, little one. Can you smell her breath? She is very close."
I think Jon only put Mance out of his misery because burning people alive is one of the more sadistic ways to execute someone, and Jon is many things, but not a sadist.
@28:26: many ppl miss it but Sansa is basically warning Brienne that she is not safe with Littlefinger’s soldiers and that she must flee. It’s almost imperceptible but her eyes move toward the door. She is silently saying ‘I have to stay with Littlefinger for now but you should flee. His men will kill you because you saw me with him’.
I was recommended their channel a couple of weeks ago and also just caught up with the GOT reactions. I opened the playlist for season 5 shocked that there was only one video. Looking forward to following along on the rest of the journey!
"A man is no one, and that is what a girl must become." The House of Black and White is the fortress where the Faceless Men administrate their work...Arya will learn a lot here.
@35:55: did you notice that the scar was on the wrong cheek? That’s why Meryn Trant offered to kill the men. They killed a random dwarf and tried to pass him as Tyrion by adding a scar on his cheek to snatch the reward.
A movie you MUST watch and review that will bring you to absolute tears at the end is called “Without a Trace” (1983). I posted about this in the TMC Movie Fan site earlier this week and got over 5,000 likes and 1,000 comments thus far. That’s how impactful this movie was.
@3:27: well, that is the fun part of prophecies… the ‘younger and more beautiful queen’ who will cast Cersei down and take all she holds dear could be Margaery or Daenerys… it could even have been Sansa when she was engaged to Joffrey (which would explain why Cersei, who grew up with this prophecy in mind, was so horrible with her). This prophecy is important because it proved true so far: Robert had 20 children (all bastards) and Cersei 3, with golden hair. ‘Gold will be their shrouds’ means they will all die. Joffrey is gone now and Cersei is on edge for her 2 other kids, ready to protect them at any cost.
Great reaction as always Octobers!!! For the record, Bronn took on the monitor Ser Bronn of Blackwater when he was officially knighted at the end of season 2 after the battle at blackwater. In season 3 episode 1, it’s revealed that he’s a knight now when he tells Tyrion that he’s a knight and knights make double the money. It’s explained in the books though. He basically gets knighted during that ceremony shown in season 2 episode 10 (the finale) where Joffrey agrees to marry Margery and set aside Sansa and Tywins horse poops on the floor when Tywin goes up to get his flowers for saving the city. The books goes over that in detail and Bronn was required come up with a title since he was being knighted so he chose blackwater
@39:05, don’t misjudge this girl. Btw, as a small heads up, the actress that plays her is from another well known show, but that’s all under wraps for now. Her appearance alone is a potential spoiler.
Idk if you guys watched or know about Pokemon but in the show the main character had a dragon type Pokemon that he had to earn it's loyalty by becoming a stronger and more determined trainer. With Danerys it's essentially the same.
Season 5 Episode 3 & 4 are on PATREON already! Unfortunately our Histories and Lore did not pass copyright so they will be Patreon only for now, sorry about that ya'll! www.patreon.com/theoctobers

Pod and Brienne make a fine team. Brienne is sharp with skill bravery and muscle. Pod, muscle and skill in training, but you would be hard pressed to find a squire with a sharper mind and keener eye.
Mance didn't refuse to bend the knee just out of "pride" or "honor" or whatever. But also because it would have been _useless_. The narrative Stannis was pushing and that Jon accepted and tried to pass along, is that that Mance would kneel, swear loyalty to him, and then send the wildlings he rules to help Stannis take Winterfell. That's exactly what Stannis would expect, and Jon too. 'cuz they've lived their whole lives in the Seven Kingdoms, and when your king says something you just _do_ it. But that's _obviously_ not what would happen with people who call themselves the Free Folk. The moment Mance's people see him kneel and submit to a southern ruler, they're _not his people_ anymore. He wouldn't be able to tell them to go fight even if he wanted to, they're no longer going to listen to or care about anything he says. So what possible *purpose* would it serve to kneel?
the most important part of the prophecy usually goes over ppls heads unfortunately lol. "Gold will be their shrouds". Shrouds as in funeral cloths you wrap dead bodies in. The witch is telling Cersei that she will bury her own children. Which goes to explain a lot of her behavior and paranoia.
Mance doesn't kneel because the Wildlings don't kneel. They'd all rather die than bend the knee to any southern King. It might have been at the expense of his people, but he knew that his followers would want him to do exactly this
Don’t worry about hummin. I have been known ,a time or two , to stand and direct an imaginary orchestra or army into battle when the opening song begins 😉
22:09 the religious fanatic is Cersei's cousin, he was the squire of King Robert Baratheon that Ned Stark was suspicious about the wine he always gave to the King. he doesn't look the same :p
@@Rash23215 @WarKrieg didn't seem so. they look confused. i was also confused when that guy show up. even Cersei was confused :) my comment was just trying to help
@@portugalgamermanel3404 well u r absolutely wrong..... they instantly recognised him....just because u r confused about simple things doesn't mean all the people are...... don't argue for arguments sake.... just take the L and move on.....
Jon and Melissandre helped Mance fake his death in the book. Then Jon sent him to spy on the Boltons... I like that version better. Also in the books Illaria preached peace. It was Doran's daughter who wanted war...
I don't know if you guys want any book info, but I will just say that Jaime tells Tyrion something pretty significant after letting him out of his cell, which gives a lot more context to why he would go kill Twyin. Also, the Cersei prophecy cold opens is one of my favorite scenes from these later seasons. 😄
Ned Stark betrayed his own principals in order to save those he loves. Events followed. Mance Rader was not going to make that same mistake. Burn me alive, I'm afraid, I'll scream but I'll die with dignity in myself.
Tony's really out here saying the show can't get any crazier?😂😅 Me like you just watched how many seasons and you don't think that it could possibly get any crazier? Oh my Sweet Summer child ...😅😅
You guys’ viewers are hilarious. I get so caught up in the comments section, it takes me forever to watch the actual reaction. Note to self: watch first comment later like sometime in between.
Anyone ever notice the other little girl w young Cersei is made to look like Shae cus she’s meant to be that one “Lorathi handmaiden” she talked about during the “Blackwater” episode?
I felt like Jon ended Mance because he didn’t want everyone else to watch that. He looked around and saw the misery on all their faces, no one wanted to see that.
The city that you said looks like Greece, with the giant statue. This is exactly like the Colossus of Rhodes, a gigantic (for its time) bronze statue, that symbolized the Greek Sun god Helios. It is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, along with the Pyramids, the Great Lighthouse of Alexandria, and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Just as the statue in the show, the Colossus is supposed to have stood astride the harbor entrance to the city of Rhodes (though this was later disproven). The Colossus stood for only 54 years before an earthquake toppled it. But even centuries after it collapsed people still traveled great distances to view it.
I can't stand Ellaria and the rest of the Dorne broads. Oberyn wasn't assassinated or killed in his sleep. He chose to fight and lost. Harming an innocent girl as revenge would be completely disrespectful to his memory.
Right? He won the duel out right but couldn't finish before a confesssion. He proved his skill against the toughest fighter Cersei could find.. And died as well.. They should have respected his memory yeah. :(
It’s not that you can’t have dragons and a conscience. She is known as the queen (mother) of dragons. That is what inspires fear in her enemies. Without dragons she is not that. She doesn’t strike fear and her name is weakened. You can’t be the queen of dragons without dragons.
Mance Rayder was like us here in Sweden for a long time we dont bend the knee to Nato or any other outsiders. Im sad to say we did bend the knee in the end :(
The problem with Dany is her thoughts and ideas.yes ultimately her advisors sometimes force her to do the right thing but her instincts are not that.she isn't a good ruler she is a conqueror
I read the books after the show was finished. I wish we got more of the books adapted in these later seasons. That was such an amazing chapter to read.
Does anyone watch this because they find themselves in a perpetual situation of work and obligation that leaves them unable to connect with real friends and hold on to old TV shows we like because the outside world has become mundane? Well, snap out of it! The world is what you make it! Just stopped in to say hi, I've watched some content, I'm guilty, love you guys, just want to remind everyone to get out and live!
I see season 5 as sort of a prequel for season 6. Those two go hand in hand for me, where seasons 1-4 are a tight pack, too. Seasons 7 & 8, well.. we don't talk about them yet, do we. But S5 & S6 hold a certain story arc, which for me is enjoyable. Glad to see you enjoy it, too.
Mrs october is always mentioning Assasins Creed😂 she should do some gaming livestreams... I am enjoying Valhalla, though i am stuck on the 1 v 1 vs Leofric😂
I was stuck on that too, I suck at video games thats why I don't lol i play more for the story but I just youtubed a cheat to win all boss battles on that one, don't tell anyone tho lol
@TheOctobersReact 😂 I will have to do the same and find a cheat. And tbh I don't think people will mind if you are really bad, it's more of a casual hanging out, chatting with chat sort of thing. Does Mr October play video games?
Did you recognize the young religious zealot with his hair cut as Cercei's cousin and Robert's cup bearer, Lancel Lanister? He was sleeping with Cercei and Tyrion was blackmailing him to spy on Cercei.
