My third session of 2022 was a change of venue from Southbourne to Frairs Cliff to show the abundance of small fish that are there and easy to catch. I show the rig and bait presentation I use to maximise my session.
Well, you know, except on the odd occasion when you "deliberately" forget one to test that your fishing partner for the evening has bought his... your honour.
Thankyou Tom...another great video ...going to take my lad there....just to catch...love the tip on the rag...I have used that for mullet in the harbour on one of your rigs...def catches more...top stuff...inspirational to all as ever...
Excellent videos and well produced. Please can you consider some videos describing how you create your rigs and one describing your kit including your bait tray setup - thank you 🙏
Hi Ian. Thanks for the positive feedback. I have got planned in the pipeline some new rig videos. I have some old ones on here, but I feel they need a refresh!
Carefull Tom that's 2 vlogs in very quick time , we might get addited to these lol , brilliant vlog ty , sorry to be a pain but with the flapper if your fishing when there is a few around you competing for the same fish ie : anything that swims lol what would you do different , would you cast further or use different bait , smaller hooks , sorry for all the questions Tom , I just want to get better 👍
Casting further is often the first thing people try, but so often casting closer will find the fish. I certainly found more fish the closer I came. Bait and hooks will generally stay the same once I've figured out what they want on the night, but timings are crucial. Try and figure out the perfect cast times. Reel in too soon and you'll miss out on double and triple shots, leave it out too long and you could be wasting time with a rig full of fish already on. Every night is different!
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 thank you Tom , I fish the suffolk/ Essex coast so this year I'll try and fish hard and try loads of things to see which works, my family live in Lymington and Barton on sea so I'll be down your way in April , so I'll pop in the shop and say hello and buy some match gear and some bars , stay safe Tom and keep the great vlogs coming your a total gentleman 👍
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 Your description of the whiting and pouting differences rather illustrates the difference between you and I.... One is 'slim and streamlined, the other is stumpier and deeper in it's body shape' :)
4:33 never heard this from Tom before but there is a definite West Country twang to his use of “flapper” Anyway love the video as we do all.. keep them going👍
Always enjoy your videos Tom, you have a great way of explaining & teaching things without over complicating. Just out of interest do you keep the fish to use as bait or return them?
I do try and return anything I'm not going to eat, but sadly whiting and pout aren't the strongest fish, so casualties are kept for bait. Glad you like the videos, thanks for the great feedback 😀
Another great keep them coming👏🏻 can u maybe go thru ur tackle when u do ur vids ie rods reels etc I see ur using verets they have caught my eye👀 looking to get a nuvolo 9 soon fingers crossed 😊
Glad you enjoyed the video again. I've been reluctant to make the videos too "pushy" by going on about the gear I use too much, I know some people don't like people selling stuff too blatantly on videos, so have kept it about the fishing more. However, I've had a few requests now, so will try and mention my set up in a couple of videos. In this video I was using a Veret Supernova for the 150g work and an Eclisseo 4.25 for my 100g work. Both teamed up with Shimano Bull's Eye 9100s.
Another thought on this video and others but how often do use two rods exactly the same? Like here quite often you use two different rods . I admit I do not have two rods the same so biased… thoughts on matching rods?
